Lewis Capaldi, Calvin Harris/Ellie Goulding and David Kushner are all in contention for this week's #1. New single releases include The Weeknd & Future's Double Fantasy for The Idol soundtrack, Kim Petras' Alone featuring Nicki Minaj and the return of Nines with Tony Soprano 2. There's also new tracks from Ed Sheeran, Foo Fighters, Florence + The Machine, Arlo Parks, Ben Howard, Bree Runway/Khalid, Rita Ora/Fatboy Slim and MUNA

A wide open race for the #1 album includes Everything But The Girl's first release in almost 24 years with Fuse and Enter Shikari's seventh LP A Kiss for the Whole World x, along with big Record Store Day specials from The 1975's Live With The BBC Philharmonic Orchestra and Taylor Swift's folklore: the long pond studio sessions, while Agust D (SUGA of BTS) drops his debut studio album D-Day. There's also new releases from Tiesto, Mac DeMarco, YoungBoy Never Broke Again, Alfa Mist, Alma, Lloyd Banks, Jethro Tull, Twenty One Pilots and Bluey

Breakdown of the week

- Saturday: Some information may be posted on social media but it is likely to be missing most streaming data and is unrepresentative.

- Sunday: Official First Look Chart on Radio 1 from 6-7pm. Please do not post spoilers on the forum in advance as this ruins the countdown for any listeners.

- Monday: OCC Top 100 from 5:45pm

- Tuesday: Top 40 update as and when we receive them with requests, this is NOT 100% guaranteed however. The OCC may publish sales flashes of their own accord but likewise, this is not guaranteed. Twitter and social media is your friend for today. Please post any information you find with a source. Do not nag for updates, we will post a top 40 update if we receive one.

- Wednesday: Top 40 update from Music Week from 5:45, and potential top 5 sales but this is not guaranteed.

- Thursday: See Tuesday.

Other notes (please read)

- You may make requests Tuesday to Thursday but outside the top 40, specific positions will not be revealed (unless deemed necessary by a mod).

- Please do not demand a midweek update, one will be posted as and when we receive the information. Patience is a virtue.

- Sales information will be given out as deemed necessary by a moderator, please bear this in mind when making requests. Most requests for sales will be ignored. Any chart requests between No. 41 to 100 will not be answered after Monday's update.

- To keep everyone in the loop of all chart action, please refer to the iTunes and Spotify threads.

Really hope EBTG can at least get to #3 as I think 1975 and Taylor will hold the top 2 spots.
The Weeknd’s UK label should just pick a quiet week, drop some UK exclusive vinyls and promote it on social media and he’d have the number 1 album.

Edited by musicfan97

Will be interesting to see if the RSD 7” and 12” vinyl skew the first look before disappearing from the Top 100 come Friday.
The Weeknd track must have a good shot for a future #1, I love it
Chemical for top 10 please, probably Post Malone best hit to date
oh bugger should be higher, hopefully it will climb later in the week.
