Well her performance was great so can't deny her the win but I can't help but feel it's super underwhelming and I hate how predictable it is too lmao.

The internet has killed ESC for me - I loved it when we didn’t hear the songs until the final!

Not sure what's the problem with Mel, she was perfectly fine commentating...

Absolutely - I have no grumbles about her at all, I think she's done just fine and actually pretty much taken the Graham Norton approach of making the odd comment about an outfit but not taking the piss too much

To be fair, great win for history. Would have liked to see Finland overhaul Sweden but their second win has got to be coming soon after this.

And well done to Loreen, obliterating, well, equalling both of Ireland's long held records to become Eurovision royalty - she performed for her life out there, well deserved.

UK, Germany and Spain all got done dirty in several different ways I feel, neither did the latter deserve to come last on televote nor Germany last on juries and Mae did more than second-last worthy. Lots of great songs at the bottom of the televote really, Australia as well. Seeing so many juries go for Estonia felt really off - and I really thought Switzerland would be last on public vote, perhaps there just being one of those got it in - and ITALY, definitely felt that that was trading on past Italian skill and not much of itself.

great results for Finland, Norway, Croatia, Australia and Ukraine overall.

Gutted for Austria getting mugged off by the public. The EBU killed that with first position.

Heartbroken for Käärijä. They didn’t get as savaged by the juries as I thought they would but that was just too big a landslide for Loreen to be overcome

Also sad for Mae. That absolutely didn’t deserve second last

Loreen was the obvious winner from early on. Great song. I’m surprised UK did pretty bad this year. I don’t think it’s a good song though but I expected us to do much better than 2nd from last.
Well deserved for Loreen. It was the best song and her performance and vocals were incomparable in my opinion. Delighted!
Didn't think Italy would be the highest of the big 5 this year!

Italy can send any fart but even so they do well on Eurovision. -_-

Disappointed for Käärijä, especially after that huge televote score, but Loreen was in my top 5 so still a quality opponent! First woman to win twice

Interested to see what the streaming boost for 'Tattoo' will be like

Let's hope UK send Adele, Ed Sheeran or Harry Styles next year to not flop again. ;)

Lots of robberies ofc and these results are really surprising. Glad that Estonia in the top 10, and Lithuania just short of top 10. Portugal and Albania were done so dirty. United Kingdom, Austria, Armenia and Spain should be a lot higher.

Lorern almost killed mer!! :o

Ran upstairs to the loo during the jury reveal, slipp3d with swesty socks and took a tumble!!! :o

Back now.

YAS LOREEN

YAS LOREEN!!!

Can't believe that gross Cha Cha Cha song got so many votes. Whole thing masde me feel sick, with his tongue thick, bad vocals and awful song and even worse video. Just gross.

Spain ROBBED ROBBED ROBBED!!!!

Barefoot like Sandy Shaw in 1967? QUEEN!!

And hrm, hem

Salty Mixers. Your APOLOGY, PLEASE? WHERE. IS. IT?

I was right. Absolutr flop from UK. I warned you. I tried to warn you, but because she supported a Salty Mix tour or something?, you went all echo chamber Tory police vs protesters on me. Disgraceful behaviour.

Not gonna gloat. Knew she'd flop. They shoulds fone for Calvin and Ellie, their SECOND!!! choice, who have been number one for, ooh, five weeks now, is it, and top ten (three?) since the announcement of the UK act yes? I also said that Birdy would have done MUCH, MUCH better with Rainwaters. Imagine Rainwaters or Miracles closing the SHOW!! Raineatchers woulda been a showstopper and a moment, and Miracles woulda rocked that stadium as hard as it rocked Brer, ans we woulda have to havrle sent a Falcon ROCKET with a nuclear DRIVE to retrieve the station from thr MOON from the STRENGTH of the ROCKENING!! :cheeseblock: Fortunately, Donna Noble (Dr.) Was there to sort out the little atmosphere and oxygen problrm they would have on the moon.

Told you so! Worst part is it didn't have to be like this. Mae should have been launched via tik tok or Love Island, and not like tgis. Tap Management have really, really, really mucked up her launch. How will she recover?? This is a dereliction of their new act. Wow, just wow.

Still loling at the Salty Mixers thinking people would vote for that poor song, when almost every single song was better, wvery upbeat song was catchier, and when every act had better vocals... A few pity votes from the public and jury - honestky, why on earth would thr jury have pointed it? - was all it was EVER gonna get. Now because you didn't help us challenge the BBC and get it changed back to Ellie, she's gonna have a hard time overcoming the Euroflop tag... It's pretty bad.

No idea where UK will go next year after this, or Spain for that matter :( Or Germany. Or Ireland :/ I suspect at least one will go back to nil points fodder.

Completely right that Loreen won for Sweden, for the 50th anniversary of Waterloo.

So happy for Loreen with my favourite song of the year and I hope it’s another huge chart smash for her.

But I do feel a lot for Finland with that thumping televote score. Questions will be raised for sure about the juries now.

Sad for Mae! But it really did feel a bit limp after so many amazing performances. At least we weren’t last, poor Germany can’t catch a break even when they try something different. Seems the rock voters weren’t out in force this year, or they voted for Finland.

Very happy with the winner, by far the best song and performance!

And sorry UK, the song was good, but the performance was very flat.

Finland must have taken up a lot of the power that Blind Channel/Maneskin had in 2021 - Croatia as well. Leaving poor Australia and Germany in the dust televote-wise, with Slovenia somewhere in between.

That sort of industrial power that Cha Cha Cha has will win over the voters looking for loud and raucous - as much as I love what Germany were trying to do 'Blood & Glitter' did have some question marks over whether it was truly wild enough to get those votes. I need the Germans not to return to what they were doing before just as badly as I don't want the UK to give up and send crap again. At least Voyager got a good score from the juries though because I'd have thought that would have done far better with the public.

Amazing winner, I'm so happy for Loreen, it was so well deserved!!

Gutted for Mae. Disappointed but not surprised. I really hope the UK takes this chance to regroup and come back bigger and better next year, rather than slumping back into old anti-Eurovision habits. We can SO easily turn things around again next year!
