second listen and already sounds better.

Fully expect this to linger around low top 40 until movie hits theaters and then peak Top 20.

The radio deals and streaming push (currently #2 on NMF UK & already straight in at #21 on Hot Hits UK) points towards this being a top 10 debut and lingering mid-low top 20 (at the absolute worst) until the movie, I'd say. The movie is one of the most anticipated movies of the Summer and the plays on this will only ramp up closer to the time. I'll be surprised at anything lower than a top 10 debut tbh.

Haven't heard this yet, but not really in a rush to do so. Kind of over the disco-pop sound (if the clip was anything to go by + I'm not as into her as I perhaps should be for someone who loves pop)

It's no Levitating but I think it's great and the video sold it to me  It's slick, catchy, fun, not trying too hard and makes sense for the Barbie soundtrack. Wouldn't sound out of place on Future Nostalgia. The smashing of the disco ball and the pink car in the video kinda confirms this is bookending that era?

I was a bit underwhelmed by the chorus on first listen, but it becomes more of an earworm with every listen. The strings, her sultry, husky vocals (I missed them so much ) are so good and I like the bridge.

Fingers crossed for top 10 :cheer: but I think top 20 debut would be more realistic

Sweetest Pie was track #10 and Potion track #4 on Hot Hits UK in release week. #21 feels a bit low compared to that, hopefully they move it up on Monday

I'm not blown away by it, but it's a cute track that I can see doing well until the film comes out.
It's no Levitating

Although it tries really hard to replicate it.

This is Levitating's poor cousin. As Madge would say, this is reductive. The chorus is so weak. Considering the writers behind it, I'm really disappointed.

This is her third underwhelming single in a row. It feels like TaP took her magic away when she decided to fire them.

I low-key feel this is a Future Nostalgia left over 😂

Dua is 0/2 on soundtrack singles so far.

This is too faceless and dull, which is even more disappointing when Barbie should inspire something actually fun.
