Elton dropping quite a bit unsurprisingly but still has 3 songs in the 60s and 2 more top 200 (+ Stephen Sanchez at #71 & #98).

Oh crumbs Forget Me coming back again. I know I’ve said this loads of times but I still think re-sets should be granted for anything that would be getting a new peak if re-set and nothing else. So much simpler for a start, and avoids long running big hits clogging up low Top 10 / Top 20 positions that they don’t need.

but then Cruel Summer wouldn't have been reset last week

and part of the success this week is cos it went top 40 last week

and been added to streaming playlists cos it made the top 40 last week

...but it would have had a new peak last week if not for 'Heat Waves' and 'Late Night Talking' being reset ahead of it which would not have happened under a 'reset only if new peak' rule :magic:

The 'new peak only' condition seems a bit too circular. Perhaps they need to increase the threshold from 25% though and make it easier for songs to go back to ACR.

I think just putting the threshold back to 50% as it originally was would solve a lot.

The Lewis boosts will be on the back of his announcement yesterday that he is taking a break from everything to focus on his mental and physical health. The support he’s got post announcement has been huge

I think it’s OK. You just have to start at the top with your potential re-sets and work down. I understand putting songs on ACR / re-setting is a manual rather than an automated process for them anyway.

When it's for songs like 'Until I Found You' I think it's fine to reset tbh but ones that have already been hanging about for a long time..
