Diamonds was/is a proper Elton John greatest hits album and was released as different versoins (1, 2 and 3-CD), like most of the GHs back in the day. The 3-CD box set includes a hardback book with annotations for the stories behind each track and a set of five postcards of illustrations of Elton John by Richard Kilroy.

However, it's been edited so much and so often, that now it's basically a playlist. I don't think there is a physical version that includes Cold Heart, Hold Me Closer and Merry Christmas?

If anyone's a little surprised by seeing Corinne Bailey Rae high up on the NMF playlist, then actually play the song for (for me at least) an even bigger surprise

Just listened to this and it's the biggest musical swerve I've heard in some time. At least based on what I already knew from her. I'm not sure if she's been slowly moving in this direction over the last few years as I haven't kept up with her releases.

This new vinyl release may make the #1 race interesting - it's for a condensed version of the tracklist (only 10 songs, and it does include 'Cold Heart' @Sour Candy) but assuming it'll still count towards the sales for the original album? It is already sold out on Elton's website so could come down to how many copies were available.
