June 9, 20233 yr Sorry, I’m gonna say it… the juries did their job because they knew this was the HIT of the contest that the public would remember for a long time. They are there to give the contest credibility, and look at what’s happening now with the winner. Brilliant. Can we not just acknowledge both 'Tattoo' and 'Cha Cha Cha' for being popular and likely to be well remembered? I thought it was dumb when salty Käärijä fans were downplaying 'Tattoo' but this kind of take is really not any better, I think it's quite insulting to imply that Käärijä is not 'credible', the song is obviously not as well suited to mainstream success as 'Tattoo' (not being an English language pop song will do that...) but its chart success in the UK and elsewhere is not at all indicative of it just being a gimmick song or whatever people keep arguing about it. I would be surprised if he doesn't end up being one of the most memorable performers of the decade and invited back in future contests etc.
