Sheffield United are lucky that Everton have their points deduction otherwise they would be 8 points adrift of safety now with a much worse goal difference than Nottingham Forest.

Nottingham Forest manager Steve Cooper says he is not dwelling on speculation over his future following Wednesday's 5-0 defeat at Fulham.

Cooper's side have lost their last four matches in the Premier League and won just one of their last 11.

They have dropped to 16th, hovering above the relegation zone, before Saturday's match against Wolves.

"I don't think like that," said the 43-year-old Welshman, after being asked if he feared the sack should they lose.

"That is not a good way to think. It is like saying to a player 'you have to play well or you will not play again' - it is not a thought process I believe in using."

Burnley have suffered an "undeniable blow" in their Premier League relegation battle with teenage winger Luca Koleosho ruled out for several months, boss Vincent Kompany says.

The 19-year-old has caught the eye in a side that has lost 12 from 15 league games this season.

The latest defeat was a 1-0 loss to Wolves in which Koleosho limped off after 36 minutes.

"It's bad news for us, he's going to be out for a while," Kompany said.

"I'd like to think he'll still play this season, but it might be towards the end of the season."

Without their deduction, Everton would be top half. Dyche is pulling an absolute blinder there, fair play.

I find it very interesting they abandoned the Bournemouth vs Luton game, yet when the same thing happened to Lockyer in last season's play-off final they finished the match.
I find it very interesting they abandoned the Bournemouth vs Luton game, yet when the same thing happened to Lockyer in last season's play-off final they finished the match.

Do you know if the score/points counted for the match or is it going to be replayed again later in the season?

I know as much as you unfortunately!

My guess is they will void the match and re-play at a later time in the season. The last time a game was abandoned after it had already kicked off was way back in 2006 and that's what happened then.

The match will get replayed as both Bournemouth & Luton have played 16 games each according to the league table which is one less than everyone else. Hopefully Tom Lockyer will make a speedy recovery. For this to have been the 2nd time that it's happened to him is a sign that he should just hang up his boots. It might not be 3rd time lucky if it happens again.
I always thought if someone had heart problems they had to retire? Maybe the rules have changed?
Not necessarily. In Eriksen's case he had to leave Serie A as their rules didn't permit players to play with ICDs fitted however no such rule exists in the Prem.

Former Wolves and Tottenham boss Nuno Espirito Santo has spoken to Nottingham Forest amid growing uncertainty over the future of manager Steve Cooper.

The 49-year-old was sacked by Saudi Pro-League club Al-Ittihad in November.

Former Eintracht Frankfurt boss Oliver Glasner has also been mentioned as a likely replacement if Cooper went, but it seems Nuno is now in pole position.

Cooper was on borrowed time I'm afraid. He fell into the Wagner & Wilder trap of overachieving in the first top flight season then being a victim of their own success when it doesn't go quite as well during the second.

Reckon Cooper will take over at Palace, either at the end of the season or mid-way through.

Nuno is not a sexy appointment, but should be enough to keep them up.

He's a very good coach. Spurs is a poisoned chalice for any manager and he overachieved massively at Wolves and deserved better there.
