Sorry if it's been asked earlier but does Sam Smith/Madge have a crack at the top 50 or is it a certified flop?

I'm afraid it's the latter. :drink:

Sorry if this has been answered before but why is Sound of the Underground in the albums chart and not the singles?
Lovely seeing Girls Aloud Top 10 and Dannii Minogue Top 20 in the albums even if for a very limited time. Niall Horan although falling fast is doing a bit better than i though, McFly doing way worse than i expected on week 2.

Susprised to see the Pet Shop Boys as high as #3 given it's their fourth greatest hits compilation. Not complaining mind!

Poor old Appleton though, their reissue not even showing up in the Monday mids top 100 (not that I was honestly expecting it to).

David Kushner, Lewis Capaldi and Post Malone are this weeks ACR casualties. It feels too soon for Posty to go ACR

I think if it's on its way out, it's had its time and it's doing what ACR should be doing. I just wish that were the case with so many more songs in the chart.

Oh dear!

Oh well, appreciate the speedy response.

Heat Waves avoiding ACR again but fingers crossed that OCC force it onto ACR next week as it passes the 3 year threshold

Yeah they better do this! Although since Running Up That Hill the whole 3 year thing has been completely blurred...

Agreed. We're just so use to the current ACR not working properly it's now the norm for songs to hang around for ages. So when we get examples like 9-week SCR songs it feels too short when in reality it's definitely not.

I remember when Perfect kept avoiding ACR after the 3 year threshold so OCC forced it onto ACR. Let’s hope they do the same with HW

Another Texas best of? Jeez.

Hold steady, Kylie. :cheer:

It's only their third proper one, which isn't that excessive for a band who have been going since the late 80s. The last one was 8 years ago. For comparison, the Pet Shop Boys have just released their fourth one and have only been going a few years longer than Texas.

I thought Appleton would easily be top 100 in the mids. I hope the Pet Shop Boys and Texas hold up all week

Is it me or is this new Dua song flopping? Merit aside, I thought she'd be 6-8 this week given the radio and streaming support.

I don't think this single is flopping but Apple Music have been shady and slow to support it on their influential playlists. They refuse to add the song to Dua Lipa's Apple Music page (it still shows Potion as her "latest release") making it hard for fans to find the song on that platform.

It was low on Apple Todays Hits until this week - it's now track 11. When the song was top 10 on Spotify, it was 20 or 30 something on Apple Music. The 2 metrics didn't really aligned.

With more Apple Music support and buzz from the movie release next month, it can still get a new chart peak (we manifest top 10)
