I like Claire and think she has a great voice. Her first solo album was quite good but after listening to I surrender I don’t think I’ll be buying this album. The original by Celine is great but I don’t like Claire’s version. I’m disappointed the songs will all be covers.

#15 on iTunes :cheer:

Also the Deluxe version of the album is £4.99 to pre-order on iTunes too which will help sales!

The disparity between the £4.99 iTunes download and the £18.99 deluxe CD is rather :drama: but oh well, take my money, Claire :kink:

This!

Downloads are like cassettes now - an unused format to mobalise the fanbase into multiple purchases.

Iconic. So ahead of its time!

I Surrender is one of my favourite songs of all time and I’m so happy we finally have an official Studio Version for Claire!

I feel like this sounded like a big song when she sang it on tour, this version kind of dulls it down for me, feels flat.

Edited by Simon.

Have to agree - on tour it was literally a :o moment and doesn’t have the same impact with a recording.

I Surrender hasn't been included on Spotify New Music Friday UK :(
Yeah it's a bit bland tbh. Again I just cannot get into her voice on it's own, I need the harmony of others around her otherwise she grates on me a little.

Not a terrible video considering she doesn’t have the backing of Sony for this album like she did with the first.

Seems like it’s a very much self funded operation in collaboration with Demon Music, the budget appears to have been poured into multi formatting, I thought Steps label BMG may have been interested in working with Claire as a solo artist after the success the band has had with them.
