Also, why have we collectively decided to give Tory Lanez another hit?

Morgan Wallen did a really stupid thing on camera 30 months ago but I think branding him as a lifetime racist is a bit much. At the very least he's never leant into it as a reactionary (Jason Aldean on the other hand...), I know it breeds cynicism but I do genuinely think he's learnt from it and it's not useful to permanently ostracise folk like that.
Looks like Billie could potentially go top 3 if she can hold them numbers (probably not this week but got a chance next week)
Charli moved up to #17 on Hot Hits… where was she before?
I’m amazed at how well the Barbie tracks have held up through the week! I was sure they’d get a decent first day boost and then fall back but they’ve kept climbing day by day

The Jason Aldean situation is really making Morgan Wallen seem not so bad in comparison. In fairness the worst thing Wallen has done since his controversy (other than releasing terrible music x) was cancelling a concert at extremely short notice.

 

Suspecting the Tory Lanez entry might be bots, a similar thing happened on US Spotify last Monday (debuted as high as #52 out of nowhere, but then quickly dropped back out of the top 200 after 3 days and has not returned since). The song is actually fairly decent but yeah, could do without Tory being handed another hit.

Shame if people only remember Sinéad from NC2U, but I guess that's understandable.... She did have several minor hits though.

I mean it was her only top 10 hit so it's completely understandable that it's the only one casual listeners remember. The only others ones I remember are 'Mandinka' and 'Success Has Made A Failure Of Our Home' which I've always really liked. Her other top 20 hit was 'Thank You For Hearing Me' though I don't know that one at all.
