Spotify streams for As It Was over Fri-Wed combined are 4.8% lower than the same days last week. As long as there hasn't been a big drop in the market, it should be going back to ACR.

great figures x Cruel Summer and Peggy top 5!

quite the drop for I Can See You

I don’t get the hype for I Can See You tbh. I don’t believe for one second she wrote it in 2010 either lol!

Any reason why style in particular has been so high last few days

Is it the rumors 1989tv is next as just seen blank space very high too

Why not? There's nothing to suggest it wasn't

I don't think they are that much higher than they were before (apart from when they were pushed down by SNTV tracks obvz), I guess it's just the UK tour presale giving them an additional boost. Appears the same is happening to 'cardigan' so it's not only the 1989 tracks.

The same reason I don’t believe she wrote “F the patriarchy” in 2012 :P Nothing against her

Did we ever get confirmation on whether the Gypsy Woman version of Little Things was combined for chart purposes or not?

The F the Patriarchy I don't believe it either, mostly cos 10 years ago T would have never ever used the F word in a song

someone better ask Jake if he has a F the Patriarchy keychain :D

but this new song, why not? It's an average nothing extraordinary in either lyrics or melody, to me it sounds more 2012 than 2023

just cos now I think she writes better

no explicit confirmation, but the song holding up in the OCC top 20 and the mashup version not charting in its own right basically confirms they're being combined

Taylor’s album impact should ensure the market stays relatively stable I would’ve thought

I just can’t see 2010 Taylor writing “I can see you up against the wall with me”, that definitely seems more like post-Reputation Taylor. I don’t believe Taylor would have written such an overtly sexual song back then. I’m not saying she couldn’t but when you add in the F the patriarchy line I think it makes it more likely that she’s taken some liberties with the “unreleased” tracks :P

Spotify:

38. Tom Grennan- How Does It Feel

40. Taylor Swift- Blank Space

59. D.O.D- So Much In Love

62. Jorja Smith- Little Things x Gypsy Woman- L BEATS MASHUP

149. NewJeans- Super Shy

Re-Entries:

but maybe thats why she didn't release it back then, no way mama swift would approve :D

I can the more and more I listen to it it's sounds like a moodier darker version of mine, like I can see you is what she wanted to release but jer squeaky clean image and record label wouldn't allow it

I was just about to say this. It’s about damn bloody time it went back to ACR.

There's proof of the song being registered in 2010, so it absolutely was written at least in some form at that time.

I don't think Taylor's album will contribute more than about 1% to the total market though. It'll certainly help but it's still a bit of a drop in the ocean.

Last week the total singles streaming sales were 26.3 million, which would be without any ACR or 3-track rule applied (as that only affects the published Top 100), and I can't see the combined sales of all 22 tracks on the album being more than 264k (an average of 12k each). Whereas the singles market has been known to drop by 7% in a week in the past.
