Well yes they would have to throw everything at it

Video must be coming that week surely?

3500 vinyls

2000 cds

1000 cassettes

3000 downloads (new edit/remix/feature)

5000 streams

but yes i didnt realise that many where needed for 40th in mid december!!!!!

Very strange from BMG

i was thinking 41 on a Sunday midweek would be more like 700-800 sales only

Coffeehouse Pop by Starbucks 199k (One More Time also in this list lol)

Based on last week's sales this would have the week to throw everything at hold on to now to get it a higher peak as sales are low enough. Huge shame they have messed this release up so much, I just want it to make the top 75 now but don't even think it will but I'm hoping to be very wrong.

Agree - without streaming and downloads and now with physicals split over 2 weeks it’s going to struggle, the physicals that have shipped this week are a waste as it’ll probably miss the Top 100.

Its baffling why they have messed it up as to be fair they handled both padam padam and tension really well.

Monday Midweeks (13/11/23)

Singles

98 (NEW) Hold On To Now

Sales: 1,562

Yesterday: 130

CD: 822

Digital: 31

Streams: 277

Aud Streams: 28,580

Vid Streams: 1,807

Tension has dropped out of the Top 200 midweek album chart :o

Thats a really crap result for both the album and singles,

Huge drop for hold on to now from 41 yesterday, its pretty much confirmed it wont even go top 100 this week which im so so disappointed about as it deserves so much more.

So just 1,432 in the Sunday midweeks to be #41, that’s considerably lower than what was required a few months ago! :o

The above data also includes 432 cassettes.

I think if everything had impacted this week - every physical, the extended download - then HOTN might have scraped Top 40 in those circumstances.

Ahh well, it seems to me that #81 is destined to remain as its peak.

They’ve sabotaged any possible chart entry…extended download on a Thursday and 8 days before the physicals…and those have been stupidly bundled with the vinyl, not out for 4 weeks.

Plus no real airplay as of yet. Still it’s not impossible it might chart next month.

Yes it’s a tall order for a post album single to do much but if they had got the 3 physicals aligned, dropped the extended version along with the video then it could have done it.

I’m sure we’ll get 5k physicals for the vinyl and remaining CD and cassettes in December but without streaming/downloads that won’t achieve anything for it.

I think it is good that is it only 98 today

Most of Cassettes & CDs will be coming with Vinyl for 8th December. She may well have more promo lined up by then and lets see if she releases the video on that week too. Add a remix EP and it can still do a top 40 place.

We just need it all to fall into place.

I will stay positive with this one!

She will get more streaming that week than this week. The Extended Mix album will be out, the Deluxe download may come out, the video will get lots (this helped PP a lot) and maybe a remix or edit too.

as i always say, lets see!

I thought we’d already established that Top 40 in mid December is practically impossible :P

There were 25 Christmas songs in the equivalent chart week Top 40 in 2022. To anticipate her being able to make the Top 40 is essentially expecting her to be within the Top 15 of normal songs. It’s completely unrealistic.

An Xmas version of Hold On To Now? and get on some Xmas playlists?
