Just woken up from a dream where this had been given a physical release on a dead week and it got to #2 as a result :lol:

 

It seemed so real :(

At this point I'm not fussed about chart position, I just want it to feel like 'Hold On To Now' has had its *moment* as a single. Everything has been drip-fed so slowly, I hope next week we get a memorable video, a spectacular performance on An Audience With, stuff that we can look back on and associate the song with when we listen to it in the future.

It’s doing well on airplay given the onslaught of Christmas songs, I’m just amazed she’s not booked in Strictly. Especially as they love her.

 

That and The Audience With is perfect promo.

Strictly would have been great if she done it but I'd say kylies Christmas break is probably starting now as I'm assuming she is heading back to Australia very soon.
Would have thought she’d record it today but alas it’s unlikely.

Shame we haven’t got a separate performance for the ‘release’ - The One Show would have been epic.

I am hoping Lorraine features Audience With on Friday morning and we get an official video to offset some of very low streaming....

 

Physicals I just don't know how many she has sold in those bundles. Could be 6k total could be 3k lol

 

Hoping also people stream the extended mixes album to grab a few extra sales for HOTN

Needs a remix to download on Friday etc, maybe a store exclusive and throw out an Acappela version mid week

I think 6k will be the max for physicals based on what she always seems to sell and the recent CD/Cassette sales for PP and Tension.

 

The vinyl will probably add 3k to the CD/Cassette total but obviously some have already received those.

 

Even if we get a remix and video, streams and downloads will be low and nowhere near enough to compete atm - even in the lower reaches of the charts it will be clogged up with Christmas playlist tracks.

Well a video getting 300-400k views a day worldwide isn't to be sniffed at.

 

Maybe they will now wait until after Xmas to try and get a New Years Hit.

 

Honestly don't know to be honest. Not sure they would release a remix on Friday if they are releasing the Extended Mixes to download etc and also possibly the Bonus Deluxe to download.

 

You just never know though. I am still hoping for HOTN (PWL Xmas Mix) Ha Ha or HOTN Acoustic featuring Christmas Orchestra lol. Or a Streaming exclusive version for Amazon Music or Itunes lol

 

Also a lot of Xmas songs are on ACR and also non-premium Spotify accounts

I think it will be a distant memory by January 2024 - physicals, extended version, An Audience With, Extended Vinyl etc., will all have happened and they’ll likely be looking as to what’s next.

 

They had an opportunity with this but it’s been missed now.

They definitely missed an opportunity but hopefully next week it can at least do something and make the top 75. Id say come January they might announce the 4th single.

I suspect we’ll get at least one more single in 2024.
