I do not understand the OCC rules, something about so many formats per song?

 

Other groups have stated this was meant to be single 2, so if their is a video for Tension surely their must be one for this?

 

In the midweeks without the Xmas songs kylie holds number 30 and 40 with Padam and Tension

 

I am only guessing here, but could another format be allowed and maybe they are going to drop it with a video first week after xmas?

 

I hope their is something more as this, for me, is way up there with All the lovers

 

 

 

 

^^ I think even if they have anything else its chance for chart success is long gone - we’ve had 3 badly handled physicals, and the extended version.

 

A video and remixes won’t be enough to revive its chart fortunes.

I was thinking something still may come like a big remix or a feature for someone with video etc and then a physical too which would count as it is different to the original. I also thought that the song maybe featured on The Residency Netflix cameo appearance which is due out soon. But this is all hopes and nothing concrete lol

BMG are quite tight, and they have already spent more than what they are used to on visualisers for the album tracks, which is something they haven't done in previous eras.

But its not BMG paying for the videos ? BMG are just her distributor, it will be Kylie & Darenote that pays no?

While I'd love something like that to happen. it kills me to say I think hold on to now is done with as a single.

It will be interesting when all the Xmas songs drop out if BMG and Kylie have anything lined up

I must say the Trance Wax remix of Hold On To Now is by far the best remix we have had during this era! Very wisely done and actually gets another angle on the song. Happy it got released!

It's by far the best remix of the era apart from the Tension and madonna remix/mash up.

So Boxing Day we have Kylie all over BBC Local Radio stations and then in the evening we have An Audience With

 

Hold On To Now could get another boost.

 

I doubt they would release another remix on 22nd as the Xmas songs would just dominate for first 3 days. Maybe a New Year's EP on 29th?

It's more likely padam padam if anything will get the main boost but hopefully it will help album sales.

It makes sense for Kylie to realise another remix/video/edit of HOTN on Friday 29th Dec. Let's see if she does

A Second to Midnight and Golden also only got one remix each (and New York City, if we count that), so there’s precedent for that from BMG.

New York City wasn't worth the effort I don't think any remix could save the song.

Kylie and BMG have hardly mentioned it, they didn’t even make a big thing of the physicals. I think sadly we can assume that HOTN is done and dusted - it’s had R2 playlisting, Spotify support when the album was released, 3 x physicals, 2 x prime TV promo slots with ‘An Audience With’, a remix, extended version.

 

Even if they drop a remix and video it won’t be enough to make a difference that the above couldn’t achieve.

 

I’ll happily take anything further they want to throw at us but they screwed it up when they could’ve achieved a small but sizeable chart hit.
