Yeah I think this is the most likely. I don't think it's necessarily that Dua/Barbie World are more popular than Billie, I just think they're more "club friendly"/"pre-drink party" vibes.
Also, worth considering at that point of "Olivia going up", is that she's not so much up on streams particularly, as Peggy Gou (dance, weekend favourite) went down two positions and a considerable amount of streams.

Spotify don't give me hope that Billie still has a chance this week, I had already given up on that :kink:

Is there not also an element of Sundays being a good day in general for newer releases? (More because they decrease less than older hits, not so much that they increase)

This still makes no sense when you are comparing it to a song that is used in the same movie and used for longer at that

Exactly! How can it be a movie effect for Billie but Dua's streams fall off the cliff?

I's because slow mellow music like Billie are stable on a Sunday compared to upbeat or dance music which get a lot of streams at the start of the weekend. This has been happening for years

I suggested this the other day and that member laughed at me :cheeseblock:

I think it's the movie effect in the weekend not some Sunday calmness that pushes Billie up

Olivia is also up with the newie and that's the opposite of calm

They're from the same movie.

And pretty much every dance/uptempo song has a sharp drop every Sunday, so Olivia (it's frantic I guess) may be an exception to the general trend as it's new and going viral.

yes, but 2nd as a lead performer which may've been what Roba was thinking

She’s actually a joint lead artist on both OK and CH

at least for me, but maybe Im biased, when watching the movie, the song that made a bigger impression was Billie

and all the people I was with were the same, and no one have heard it before and everybody was wowed by both Billie and the song

while no one cared about Dua's... that's why I thought Billie is beneffiting the most from the movie played on the weekend...

Are you for real? You genuinely thought because you don't like Dua song in the movie that must mean the whole of the UK doesn't either?

Dua has a whole dance dedicated to her song and it is going viral on Tik Tok as well (well has been for the last week or so). I think you're probably being a little biased here lol. You and your friends won't speak for everyone.

That's not what he said. Read it again.

If you think someone has posted something ridiculous, it's always worth double-checking to make sure you didn't mis-read it.

You said he mocked you before for pointing out (correctly) that dance songs usually fall on Sundays. So why mock him back? I assume you didn't enjoy it when it was done to you.

That post is basically how it reads to me as well. What's your interpretation?

Besides, that's nothing compared to the shocking behaviour frequently displayed by the member in question they're responding to...

I didn't misread anything or mock them?

They are claiming that Billie Eilish's stability on the weekend is because she benefits from a movie effect (but Dua somehow doesn't) which is obviously not the truth.

Maybe you must read again?

I mean, there's no doubt Billie's song is a pivotal point of the movie - most of my group of friends cried during it, and it's used a second time in the credits, so it most definitely is benefitting from the weekend cinema views. I agree with Bjork on that. I just don't think it necessarily explains Dua falling, as I'd say both of these songs have the most prominent use in the film, both are stand out moments, both are being used all over TikTok etc.

I think it is just a mixture of all of the above posts.

1) Dancier songs doing better on Saturday streams, falling on Sunday streams

2) More easy listening music doing better on Sunday

3) Billie probably does get a slightly bigger boost from Barbie, than Dua does. Not massively, hence why they're both close together on streams.

Speed Drive is FINALLY on Today's Hits on Apple.
Oliver Anthony Music is now at #194 on Apple Music. Three non-Taylor Swift country songs in the Top 200 is not something I expected to see this year
