We need to send a plane over to the island with an SOS "UK chart emergency" :cheeseblock:

THS!!

AND also THIS to Kerth!! :cheeseblock:

Pop chart EMERGENCY!! Real substance artist Dua doesn't care about charts, not like manufactured style over substance :(

Dua for #1 but I fear her CDs P&P cost will be her undoing.

It’s not released yet but I hope the Alok/Chainsmokers collab is a future #1. It sounds amazing! :music: My predictions are terrible so it probably won’t even make the top 40.

Purchased two of the billie cassettes - what a steal. Best song on the Barbie album…

Wow a real chart battle!!

Billie all the way for me. I’m a massive Dua fan but purely based off these two songs Billies song really struck a chord with me from the minute I heard it so if she can get herself another #1 then I’m all for it

(EDIT: Just seen with Billies the release date is 17th August so it’ll count for next weeks chart right? I swear if this spends like 4+ weeks at #2 without going to the top spot  )

If it's sent on or before the 17th it'll count toward Fridays chart!

It’s pretty close so it could really make all the difference. The 99p price point is definitely a big plus.

Team Dua and Billie have played the releases smartly by waiting until Sprinter moved to ACR though. I’m glad that the CD and physical sales like cassettes are returning in some form - makes me wonder if downloads might get a random resurgence at some point again too.

She should push it back to 18th. She won’t stand a chance if she releases on 17th as she’ll only have a day of physicals
Only what we've been discussing the last 2 pages! :kink:

Oh soz - you can tell how interested I am in either of them reaching the top

The figure will include all pre-orders made over the next three days too though, so essentially four days' worth.

The vast majority of cassettes sold for this will be pre-orders that will ship on the 17th. "Only having a day" won't make a difference at all.

An all solo female top 5 potentially on the way? YESSSS! When was the last time that happened? (i.e. no features or anything)

EDIT: Oh and I assume that date is a placeholder and will be released if they conjure up enough pre-orders to take the number 1 this week?

Maybe she'd approve of this if we were in lockdown

:basil:

Just bought a Billie cassette, couldn't say no at that price :cheeseblock:

Would buy a Dua CD too but £4.48 is a little too pricey! Also agree with everyone who's saying they prefer Dua as an artist but Billie's song is better

The date is Thursday so it is this week

In other news, Ziggy Stardust is currently on course to outdo its #5 album chart peak.

Different release going by the OCC update:

David Bowie’s Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars live album gets a re-release to celebrate its 40th anniversary, which could land it a brand new highest re-entry at Number 4. Originally recorded for Bowie’s 1973 Ziggy Stardust tour and accompanying the documentary film of the same name, it originally peaked at Number 17 in 1983.

And the listing here https://www.lexermusic.com/david-bowie-zigg...ition-2cd-album matches the Wikipedia page https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ziggy_Stardus...rom_Mars_(film)

Still on course for a new peak though!
