A reasonably big year for dance, especially for the more cheesy side of it as Scooter and Flip & Fill both have two entries each as well as other trance pop from DJ Sammy, Lasgo and Love Inc... and DJ Alligator Project was a thing too. It was also the year Elvis got a makeover for the 21st century, we got a few drum and bass hits from Puretone and Shy FX and some house from X-Press 2, Goldtrix and Mad'house (the latter being a Madonna tribute).

That's a solid set of qualifiers and a great top ten overall. Pleased to see XTM through and Deepest Blue make the top 10.

 

Surprised Weekend did so badly, I far prefer it to Maria but didn't have room for either.

 

2002 had some of my favourite dance tracks ever, my top two alone here spent 22 weeks combined at the top of my personal chart and the entire top seven got to No.1 in my chart.
