It’s not like they’re in desperate need for money… I think some of you need to remember sometimes that whatever you expect or want for them is not necessarily what they want or even worry about. Obviously there’ll be disappointment because of an underperformance but that doesn’t mean they’ll just think “oh Little Mix was more profitable let’s reunite”.

Again as with single 1 there appears to be very little hype for this? If it wasn’t for here I think it’s release would have passed me by. I thought the LM fanbase would be all over the girls solo projects and getting them to #1 on iTunes etc., to get thing started.

If you're following her on social media, you'll likely be aware of the release as she's been posting it. Otherwise, I'm not sure what other hype there should be. Capital and BBC R1 have both either granted interviews or posted/talked about the release. I'm sure there must be other radio stations as well - though I'm not big on radio.

I also didn't feel any different hype about other releases in the past few months that have done well on the charts.

I do however agree to a degree that solo Leigh-Anne isn't exactly equal to Little Mix. Fans of groups have favourites and so won't support each member equally. We know Leigh-Anne wasn't the most favoured anyway, so the odds are even more stacked against her.

I think she should be viewed as a new artist, and it seems she's reinventing herself as one.

The playlisting so far seems decent. So if the GP warms up to the track, it could smash. But she/we will need to manage her/our expectations.

A reunion will always be there as an option so I doubt they will be in a rush to reunite.

Leigh Anne's big problem is she just seems to be lacking something as a solo artist. The songs are just missing something extra to take them to another level so far.

She feels very Mel B or Victoria in she adds nicely to a group and having smaller moments makes her shine more. A whole song just has moments it feels flat, like you want something more or different.

DSL could really have done with a Mysteeq style rap that Alesha added to them. My love tries to do that with the feature but actually it kind of highlights Leigh-Anne's short comings as the feature is the best part.

I meant in as far as I’m not seeing people talk about it on socials or be excited for its release or sharing the video etc., (and I follow some LM fans).

I know there is not a ton of shows out there but I think she needs some solo performances (The One Show etc.,) so people can see her as a solo artist - a Capital Radio interview is not going to cut it.

I’ve always said Jade will be the one that goes on to have the hits. If the Calvin/Jade collab is happening then she’s on the right track to get herself started.

I still stand by it. Jade will be the breakout star.

I feel Perrie could really hit out the park also.

We'll just see, supporting all four anyway however well or not so well they do

Saying there’s little hype for this is crazy. This is all over social media at the moment. The video really has connected with people, there are a lot of big accounts tweeting about it and a lot of people are enjoying the actual song too.

Twitter hype doesn’t always extend to the charts, but it does create a lot of goodwill and excitement and it’s working for My Love.

I am so obsessed with this! I already ordered one cd single of it but 3 cds bundle for £4 with free shipping is a bargain so got myself 3 more! hopefully she gets some healthy physical sales and makes the top 40! i just wish it was doing better on streaming, its so catchy!
Already OUT on Spotify UK.

It's climbing on Apple Music though (just like DSL at the time).

I don't think this is true at all. If you are following accounts likely to big the song up then sure but my timeline has zero mention of the song.

I don't follow many/any Kylie stans but Padam Padam was inescapable at one point on my timeline.

My Love has zero interest or hype from the general public or casuals at this point.

Yeah, I haven't seen anything about My Love (My Love!) in my timeline yet. I don't think there's anything in particular that's taken off in social media yet.

Nice showing. Just hope it can stay top 40 at this point.

Deserves to be big!

Edit: it really sucks that the OCC have changed their rule on allowing signed singles in the charts… that was probably the biggest incentive for impulse buyers. Like, outside of STANS no one is gonna bother with CD singles unless there’s a big chart battle or something. Ugh.

^^ Of all the rules the OCC have come up with that has to be the worst, they’ve killed off an exciting element and a way for fans to get something signed for a few £.

And you are right, I bought the signed versions last time but haven’t bothered this time.

I’m sure it will remain Top 40, DSL started off at #4 (I think) and dropped to #11, so I’m manifesting a Top 30 for this - which isn’t the best but certainly not a disaster if they can somehow grow streaming.

Oh wow, higher than I expected, hopefully it won't drop out of the Top 40.

I agree with you both about the signed CDs, definitely a dumb decision, it has put me off buying CDs.

However, obviously in this case I bought them for Leigh-Anne!

Nicki Minaj was #20 in the mids last week and ended up at #46 officially and she had no physicals so fingers crossed Leigh can hold. The song deserves, it’s such a bop.
a way for fans to get something signed for a few £.

And that's exactly the problem. I see where the OCC are coming from. People were buying signed CD singles just to get a signed item by a celebrity for cheap. If the purchase is made due to the signature and not because of the song, then that is not a fair incentive in chart terms.

Completly dumb decision as it was helping physical releases and dans myself included love them.
