I don't think this is true at all. If you are following accounts likely to big the song up then sure but my timeline has zero mention of the song.

I don't follow many/any Kylie stans but Padam Padam was inescapable at one point on my timeline.

My Love has zero interest or hype from the general public or casuals at this point.

I actually don’t follow a lot of “stan” accounts (none actually outside of gays who happen to stan)

But there’s a lot of larger accounts such as the “songs who changed history” account, the various music update accounts etc. Actually saying out loud who is tweeting about it is hard actually lol but I’ve seen a lot of buzz about it.

Padam is completely different as people weren’t captivated by the song or video itself, more so the meme/viral aspect of it (that’s not saying the song wasnt paid attention to, cause it obvi was, but I mean when I saw Padam content it was related to memes and such, whereas what I’ve seen of My Love is people praising the aesthetic, the sound, choreo etc. but then again comparing them is silly because there’s nothing to compare)

Already OUT on Spotify UK.
This... isn't surprising as a lot of new releases (even some that reach the top 100) fall straight out of the Top 200 on the update that shows on Sunday! So a debut at 183 or w/e it was was always going to fall out.

243,413 streams yesterday.
Waiiiittttt... so it did MORE on it's second day? I see it's currently #9 trending on YT... I PRAY this just means that it's picking up some momentum!

That's actually stronger than I thought it would be too. Although to be honest, I wasn't sure what I was expecting exactly. Hopefully the Hot Hits placing & initial hype surrounding the other releases dying down can get it back in the top 200 during the week (I doubt it would be today's update but hopefully at some point in the week).

It's so hard to predict how things will do nowadays.

And that's exactly the problem. I see where the OCC are coming from. People were buying signed CD singles just to get a signed item by a celebrity for cheap. If the purchase is made due to the signature and not because of the song, then that is not a fair incentive in chart terms.

So if thats their thinking they need to do the same for album - artists are selling signed CDs and Cassettes for £4.99 most weeks.

I just find it a shame that in a growing digital world they have decided to impact a physical.

#21 in the mids - was hoping it would be safe for a Top 30 entry but not convinced now.

It’s holding up decently on iTunes (Currently #12).

I expected this tbh. Sunday's "First Look" doesn't have streaming does it? (icr) So it's always heavily geared towards new releases and physicals etc.. So the Monday update everything balances more in line with what's to be expected. I do hope it stabilises and stays top 40 though. It's too good to miss the top 40!

Oh dear at the midweek 😕 Shame because Lei-Lei's stuff has been fire so far, visually and sound wise, and nowhere near the ground swallowing experience of Jesy's material.

I'm wondering if any of the girls are even gonna get to an album at this stage - certainly with major label backing? Suddenly the rumours about Perrie and Jade's stuff being held back by label heads dragging their heels that was on Popbitch a while ago is carrying a lot more credence.

I hope that #21 can mean top 40 by the end of the week, fingers crossed streaming keeps up, i know its not gonna do amazing but at least a few sales from streams

What was the story?

It was here around the time "Don't Say Love" came out.

>> Mixed up <<

Where are they now?

Obviously not put off by Jesy’s disastrous solo launch, Leigh-Anne is the next Little Mix out of the traps. Tomorrow’s garage-tinged debut single promises good things for the forthcoming album, so that just leaves Jade and Perrie – which is surprising as we’ve been hearing about both their projects for a while now.

The stuff Jade’s put down on tape is, by all accounts, genuinely great – including collaborations with the white-hot team behind the Sam Smith/Kim Petras smash Unholy; while Perrie has been experimenting with industry favourite, Fred Again.

So what’s the hold up in getting these singles out? Word in the industry is that petty internal label politics are to blame. Changes at the top of the two labels that signed both Jade and Perrie mean that the new suits running things now would prefer to keep both singers’ debuts gathering dust in a vault rather than watch their predecessors get even a crumb of credit.

It could be true, as both RCA & Columbia have indeed changed their presidents in the past year.

Just heard the Stripped Version of ‘My Love’ on the CD single and it’s lovely!
My Love is such a bop...I hope she see's success with this one as it really deserves it. The video is a smash!
I'm just not finding it something I want to go back to.
Her first performance is up on Capitals Youtube page...However I'm having a hard time posting it :mathswoman:
