I’d resigned myself to being content if she charted in the Top 100, while accepting that she would sometimes miss out entirely (A Second to Midnight for instance), and that it was really all about the albums chart.

 

Honestly, I don’t think I’ve felt this level of excitement for her chart success since the Fever era!

I don’t “hate” it. It has that problem that I have with a lot of songs (particularly Ariana songs) where I can’t understand a word she’s saying!

 

It is an earworm though, I’ll give her that. But PP remains my song of the era so far!

The fact Tension remains top 200 on UK Spotify, despite the Sunday effect, is very positive.

 

Let’s hope it’s added to some general playlists, Hot Hits is the obvious one.

 

Very smart of them to give Apple Music the exclusive though…the chart numbers there are much better.

As other people have said - the fact that she could survive the weekend effect on the charts is a sign that Padam Padam really helped her improve her streaming numbers. Hopefully it'll climb in tomorrow's update as I think Padam Padam re-entered either on Tuesday or Wednesday.

Padam was so special but I love that this has proved the quality is ongoing and it seems others have noticed too. Such a strong track.

I’m not sure we’ll get anything additional this week - I feel like when they done it for PP it was a knee jerk reaction as it was apparent it was going to enter the Top 40.

i don't think they will mess about longevity wise with Tension, get things out quickly. May tie stuff in with Album deals + physicals? Feature??? Tension Feat RAYE would be fantastic haha
