So looks like a nice Thursday evening soft release. Hopefully top 10 on New Music Friday UK from midnight and then Kylie promo on Radio 2 on Friday morning.
Praying Capital get on this one from Friday!
i sadly don't think there are any guarantees she will get radio support for this 2nd single.......

She's just come off of a big hit with another very radio-friendly single. It'll get some support.

They might as well have waited till Friday releasing it that late, hope most of the fans don’t purchase it till Midnight

The fan base (particularly SayHey) should really be advised not to download until midnight…

The thing is, a lot of fans just aren’t that in tune with how the charts works, they’ll just see it’s out and rush to buy. Can’t really blame them when BMG releases it to be bought.

But it’s like… it’s just 7 hours to wait. If the fans could be restrained and patient, every little helps for the full chart week. She could still “waste” hundreds of sales on the Thursday even with a 5pm release. And honestly, what is the reason?

BMG being BMG :cheer:

P.S. Glad it’s finally been announced and I like the artwork!

Those green/black colours are giving me Mel B and Missy Elliott throwbacks

I thought the same!

I'm guessing she is going with "green" as the colour look for Tension ala "red" for Padam Padam?

Why on earth are they doing Thursday release again? With Padam Padam the stars aligned for it's success, but had it been a hovering round the lower end of the charts success, those Thursday sales would have made all the difference for a first week peak.
I think it matters less now that radios might get on board. Before she was charting it made less sense because it was her only chance to chart and they threw it away a few times. But now, she has a solid chance of peaking in week 3-5ish.

Because they're twits. Although I suppose none of her BMG singles that have charted peaked in their first week, so I'll try and be more relaxed about it this time.

Looking at the single cover, could we be getting several different looks in the video?

Tension to get #7 peak please! :cheer:

:kink:

I’ll be very surprised if tension out peaks Padam Padam. It might go T40 depending on promotion and airplay.

If they concentrate physicals intensively on the album release week, it could get a decent peak, but so far we still don’t have an announcement for the single vinyls. Also we are yet to see if it is going to catch with the general audience or will be Stop Me from Falling / Say Something / Magic all over again with a 50-ish peak.

FINALLY an announcement but it really feels too little too late at this point. Hopefully it won’t hurt the debut!

I’m optimistic about the success of Tension - I don’t think it’ll come close to PP’s success but I’m banking on it being a Top 30 hit at least, hopefully i won’t be bitterly disappointed

I know it’s really difficult to get a follow up hit for most artists now but I think she might just achieve it off of the back of PP and the fact the album is quite anticipated and the single has been hyped by the fanbase on social media for quite a while.

I think top 10 is very unlikely but I’m going to be optimistic and say it can do a couple of weeks top 20 if the stars align.

Not sure I'm feeling the snippet (obviously I'll hold proper judgement for the full thing) but that sort of tinny (for lack of a better word), Euro, House dance sound isn't usually my thing. :(

EDIT: Maybe tinny is the wrong word, but it's the vibe I feel from it (and it's bloody hard to describe what I mean, properly )
