The 3rd single to be taken off Girls Aloud's 4th studio album Tangled Up, 'Can't Speak French' departs before the top 3 here. It peaked at 9 in early 2008. The video was inspired by Marie Antoinette and 18th Century French Fashions. CSF wasn't the solid pick for 3rd single as 'Close To Love', 'Girl Overboard' and 'Control Of The Knife' were also in contention for being pushed as a single. Promo for the track was also put to a halt for a brief minute as Cheryl was sorting out personal issues with her ex fiancé Ashley Cole.
