I don’t think people are saying deep cuts or rare B Sides. But at least one album track from Tension and a couple of less obvious - but still hit - singles, would stand to shake things up.

The start of this Tension era was a huge indication that Kylie was proving she’s not just a legacy artist, she can cut it with new hits. So it’s a little frustrating that simultaneously her vegas set list & prime time TV show… largely present the legacy, not the current album that was off the charts after a few weeks and needs a boost!! This show stands to give a bigger boost to Step Back in Time album. :drama:

But isn't that what Las Vegas and An Audience With is supposed to do? Get more publicity for her Greatest Hits etc.

Tension has 3 tracks on the show so has more than any other album and it will get recognised a bit when people search for Kylie afterwards, especially with a few price incentives.

Come Into My World was not expected and got on An Audience With.... its ITV not a Tension Tour. I'm sure other promo is planned next year for the album and a few more singles

I am just hoping ITV label each song as they are performed, but probably not haha.

Definitely could have been better choices than some of these. When there are only 11 songs you don’t need three from Fever (certainly not Come Into My World) and you don’t need both Lucky and Locomotion.

Dancing would have been a good shout, it’s different and I think it’s pretty popular. Something like Better the Devil You Know instead of Locomotion if she wanted older songs.

Locomotion went down a storm and all planned for celebrities to do a conga train in the Albert Hall. It was also huge in Australia where this show will be shown in January

I should be so lucky planned that Pete Waterman was coming on stage with Kylie as it was her first hit in UK

It was a long stop start tv production not a concert lol

Come into my world won her a Grammy so when this is sold/shown in US it will probably be labelled that way.

Honestly I think you are all overthinking this (I do this all the time too)

Its an ITV production paid for by ITV and I am sure there execs had a big say in what they wanted.

Looking forward to the show preview to come on TV during the adverts this week

I don't think anyone is overthinking it, Kylie has a huge discography and could choose from various songs that would go down a storm, she doesn't need to rely on the same ones all the time. I get the use of some of them but she could be a little more varied and still hit the 'known songs' demographic she needs for the general public.

Someone mentioned earlier Tears on my pillow is a deep cut which was even a #1 which could have bee performed as it is known not just from her but as a cover. Wouldn't have been my choice but would certainly have been more interesting.

Songs like:

- Got to be certain

- Je Ne Sais Pas Pourquoi

- Never too late

- Hand on your heart

- Confide in me

- Wow

- Dancing

Would all be in the big well known hits that could replace some of the usual All the lovers, Locomotion and Love at first sight.

- Step back in time

- Shocked

- What do I have to do

- Wouldn't change a thing

- Tears on my pillow

- Put yourself in my place

- Did it again

- Please stay

- Two hearts

- In your arms

- Get out of my way

- Red blooded woman

Would all fit into the recognisable songs / deeper cuts. It wouldn't matter too much if there was the odd obscure deep cut either.

LOL. its an hour slow of light entertainment on a Sunday night before Celebrity Jungle and you seriously think ITV would allow deep cuts, rare B sides and songs half the audience wouldn't know?

She has loyal fans who listen to all those etc. Its an attempt to grab some attention from general public etc.

It's the fact she always does the same thing and has pretty much played it this safe and been this predictable in her live sets for the last ten years now, it's getting rather stale.

Dancing is not that popular and would not go down well in An Audience With? You want everyone on audience line dancing?

Tears on My Pillow also would not suit that ITV show and not many casuals would want to see kylie sing.that.

It was 9 songs, 3 of which where from her new album. She only had 6 songs to add so listing her back catalogue is not for this.

Anti Tour 2 would be good for all your requests

I don't think its fair to say dancing isn't popular, in terms of Kylie in the last decade or so it's done fairly well and any time it gets any exposure it grabs sales.

I know it's not widely known but how many of her singles are in the last 10 years.

Anti Tour 2 would be good for all your requests

Are you for real lmao?

People suggesting that the mould be broken and instead opt for some lesser-used singles (that are still big hits and well-known singles) as opposed to sticking with the same singles every time, and that's a case for a second Anti Tour? I think you need to revisit the setlist for the Anti Tour and familiarise yourself with the songs that were on that.

Ignoring a large portion of singles from eras that have been major successes for her - given the stage in her career she's at - over the last however many years in favour of the same songs on a loop doesn't do her any favours because it just slims the GP's familiarity with her ever-growing discography even more.

She did lots of songs on Glasto, at Kylie Special Night and An Audience With.

I don't know what songs you want? So far Dancing and Tears on My pillow. ? Hardly imaginative.

She did 9 songs on An Audience With and 3 off new album , 3 where number 1s, one was massive in Australia, 1 won a Grammy and then All the Lovers is her favourite song and what her fans are called. Why would she not sing them?

If ITV was 20 songs long then no doubt she would have brought out more.

Glastonbury she did lots of old stuff and that was her biggest gig ever.

The well known songs are not going to get any more popular as they have got the vip treatment performance wise for a number of years and of course some of them have to be included in such events like this but performing lesser known but still very successful singles does no harm and has already mentioned broadens her appeal.

Tears On My Pillow is bot going to broaden her appeal..

Tension and Padam will, plus some nice Xmas Party fun songs

Christmas songs won't benefit Step Back in Time or Tension and viewerd won't turn to Kylie Christmas as It will be originals they will revisit.
Dancing and Tears on My pillow. ? Hardly imaginative.

Certainly more imaginative than The Locomotion being wheeled out once again :drama:

She has a captive audience with a prime time TV show. Why not use the opportunity to showcase her current album (beyond just the singles) & also remind people that her catalogue has more depth to it than Spinning Around and All the Lovers.

I only used tears on my pillow as an example. There is loads to choose from.

i would love that too but this is an ITV Production and like i said Locomotion would have been picked so that all the celebs can do the locomotion conga like they did. I am sure she didnt have free range to do what she wanted and she obviously loves Locomotion very much and so do audiences, its number 9 in her all time Spotify streaming list.

i wanted Devil, Get Outta My Way and a Hands with RAYE feature lol but i understand the programme, the audience, the tv audience etc and it wasn't that.

If it had been something like The Kylie Show which she did for X then fine, get plenty of Tension tracks on it, but it wasnlt

ITV production =/= automatic ban on anything remotely lesser known than the likes of The Locomotion, etc.

Kylie and her team will have been asked to curate a setlist for the show in a prime-time slot. There really isn't much more to it than the aforementioned being stuck in their ways and wheeling out the same hits setlist after setlist with no (re-)introduction to the breadth of other staples, classics and unknown gems from her extensive discography. But let me avoid being told that's best saved for Anti Tour 2.0 again... :geri:

I am surprised NO Disco tracks were included…Magic is the obvious one….otherwise for ITV it was always going to be the best known U.K. hits.
