Slayyyter isn't even close to being a chart artist, the non singles from this album have mostly barely crossed 100k streams on Spotify in 4 days and that's worldwide (almost certainly heavily US based). And she definitely isn't moving pure sales. She's only a notable name in very specific Internet niches.
I really thought Slayyyter would be battling Kylie for #1.
The fact that she's going to get THREE charting singles in the same week, and without a physical boost to even be there like 'Say Something' and 'Magic' had, we truly are living in extraordinary and surreal times.

It is pretty padam impressive.

Still totally baffling that they’ve opted not to release the singles on vinyl. I can’t think of a good reason not to

I think if you wanna sell tons of singles you're better with CD singles and cassette singles cos you can make them very cheap

and sell them for 99p with free shipping, but if you tried that with vinyl the costs are much higher and you cannot go that low

I think they knee jerked to the success of PP and whipped out the CD and cassettes as they were quick to produce, and once they saw they could sell them in volume at full price just went with it for Tension too.

NO OTHER SALES INFO

Don't think that Tension will be certified in its first week after all :(
The sales for 5 and 6 are actually wrong way round, on the mid chart stored in the charts section has Tyler 5 and Fred 6.
Nice to see Prada closing the gap on Vampire. Hopefully, the former pushes the latter out of the top 3

Which is how it's listed in the post...!

Will Tension debut with smaller sales than Disco? Shame as Tension has had a bigger hit single.

DISCO had a big chart battle to help boost its sales, Tension obviously has no competition for the top spot!

This! ‘Disco’ whipped the fanbase into a frenzy whereas this time it was a guaranteed #1 from the first update.

Nice at Mitski showing up in the top 40 now - going to have a listen to her album today.

Literally

no TV Promo (yet)

No discounts, not even Itunes

No Chart competition.

Cost Of Living Crisis

Different Time Of Year.

All can make a difference.

People waiting for discounts and incentives didn't get them this week.

Tension probably made more £££ than Disco in week 1 despite maybe less sales.

enjoy the concert tonight everyone!!!!!
