September 26, 20232 yr Nice to see Kylie smashing although not as exciting a release week as it was when DISCO dropped as she’s way ahead. I did actually think Doja might’ve been been on quite a bit more though! I think she’ll have strong longevity but is there a lack of physicals for her or did her last era also debut on similar sales.

Kylie won't come close to that, but she should get either the 5th or maybe 4th highest opening of the year (Taylor is 3rd with 67.1k, Olivia currently 4th with 60.3k and Foo Fighters 5th with 44.5k which Kylie will overtake by tomorrow). Doja's last album opened with 9.9k, she's never been a big album seller. Not surprised that she's struggling this time as the other singles besides the obvious exception haven't made too much noise.

September 26, 20232 yr Loads of people in the Kylie fandom kept suggesting Doja Cat would likely beat her because she's a "streaming giant" (something I've yet to really see proper evidence of), and like has been said she's never been a big albums act and only one song this time around has made a notable impression so naturally people wouldn't be clamouring for a whole album.

September 26, 20232 yr Honestly think the crossover between people who still care about new Take That music and people who would care enough to boycott it because of some questionable liked tweets is probably close to nonexistent. It wasn't even that big of a news story and I imagine it's largely forgotten at this point (especially as it concerns the least relevant member of the band).
