November 9, 20231 yr 'Corpses' is an absolute tune, and I love 'Time Is My Everything' too. But on the whole his solo material for me just isn't strong enough to compete with the others I voted for.

November 10, 20231 yr No huge losses there for me, though Just Jack did have a couple of decent singles back in the day, 'The Day I Died' is a classic and needs to be checked out if you haven't heard it!
November 10, 20231 yr Just Jack did have great singles - 'Embers' and 'Stars in their Eyes'. He just didn't look very star like (which is kind of appropriate bearing in mind the subject of his biggest hit!)
November 10, 20231 yr I forgot about Chris Stapleton! He would've been in my list if so. He's definitely not had 9 Top 40 hits though, unfortunately. :P
November 10, 20231 yr Oh Just Jack is one I probably should've voted for! I bought Overtones in a charity shop a few years ago and enjoyed it quite a bit.

November 11, 20231 yr I know Will.I.Am has fallen out of fashion in the last few years but I'm still surprised he only picked up one vote. DJ Khaled should change his intro tagline to "we the 197th best music"! Is Louis the lowest ranked ex-1D member then? I wonder if Liam Payne picked up any votes at all?
November 11, 20231 yr From yesterday's batch - I'm also a fan of Just Jack's 'Starz In Their Eyes' and 'Embers' Not huge on anyone today although do admire how leftfield a hit 'Madam Butterfly (Un Bel Di Vedremo)' by Malcolm McLaren is
November 11, 20231 yr My favourites to drop so far would be Aloe Blacc and Daniel Bedingfield (actually wish I voted for Daniel in hindsight)!
November 11, 20231 yr Daniel Bedingfield's first album was great but his second was complete trash - one of the biggest drops in quality between debut and sophomore albums that I can remember!
November 12, 20231 yr Oh and DMX is/was a homophobic nutcase - loved by the conspiracy theory crowd. Not defending his homophobic lyrics but I'm not aware of him having this association? (I'm sure he has plenty of conspiracy minded fans but only because he just has a lot of fans in general, this post seems to make him out to be much more of a niche artist than he actually is!) Trippie Redd is super inconsistent for me but he has made / been involved with his fair share of great songs, cool to see him get a nod here. Wouldn't have predicted that to come from WhoOdyssey of all people but then I suppose that may be more for his pivot into pop punk than the style he's more well-known for?
November 12, 20231 yr I didn't even think to vote for will.i.am, whoops, I definitely like a lot of his solo output!

It was at first his Travis Barker collab album that got me into Trippie, but since then I have become a bigger fan through his rap albums. I ought to bring back my personal charts next year when I’m done with uni, it would feature a lot more rap than it did back in 2019!
