In Hadji's books everything 2 weeks older should be dropping out of the charts.

I mean the comment was regards to him saying finally Kenya going #1 but Kenya had only been on chart for 4 weeks. But I guess your point works for this context too 😭

In Hadji's books everything 2 weeks older should be dropping out of the charts.

hahahha let's apply ACR on week 2 :D

6 Olivia Rodrigo - vampire

5 Tate McRae - greedy

(or #4 as Katie just said but who knows honestly)

2 Kenya Grace - Strangers

1 Doja Cat - Paint the Town Red

If Doja Cat wants to Paint the Town Red for a fifth week at Number 1, she'll have to fend off some fierce competition as, currently, less than 2,000 chart units separate her and three other contenders for the top spot.

Kenya Grace’s Strangers will be looking to close the gap (2), while BTS star Jung Kook and Jack Harlow’s 3D aims for this week’s highest new entry (3). Our final challengers come in the form of cassö, RAYE and D-Block Europe on Prada (4).

Sonny Fodera, MK and Clementine Douglas’s slow-burning dance hit Asking is expected to enter the Top 10 for the first time ever this week (10).

Rising South African star Tyla’s breakthrough smash Water could also rush to a new peak (12), as could Burna Boy’s City Boys (14) and Billy Gillies & Hannah Boleyn’s DNA (Loving You) (17).

Following the release of his latest record Autumn Variations, Ed Sheeran’s American Town is heading for a Number 19 debut.

And finally, after weeks of bubbling inside the Top 40, Issey Cross’s biggest solo hit to date, Bittersweet Goodbye, could jump five to Number 20.

I think 3d is gonna follow the pattern of most BTS releases and seven will be an outlier in the way it stuck around for ages. It’s already dropping out of the top 40 on Spotify so I doubt it’ll stay top 3 by Friday
hahahha let's apply ACR on week 2 :D

Actually, I meant that I hope Doja gets a decline on Friday because she will go to DCL-3 on Friday if she gets a decline meaning ACR on 13th

Really looking forward to seeing Ed’s sales - I know a lot of physicals are sold direct from artist web stores but on Amazon his vinyl is currently #17 (Olivia at #9 and Kylie at #1).

The CD or vinyl with signed artcard is still available on HMV too.

also interesting Kylie is still super high on Apple Album Streams, #3 behind Olivia & Ed, so should get plenty of streams

but of course that's the chart without playlists, the real one

Ed did some personalised signings which sold out in 1 minute but not sure how many were available. I hope he flops so he can take that awful Pokémon song with him!!

Kenya is now #1 on Spotify and not far behind in the update. There’s a chance that she could go #1 this Friday but if not, she’ll definitely get it next week

Not sure if Im misunderstanding but I think the OCC posted Jung Kook is up to 2!!!! Not sure how tbh but alas...

This week's Official Number 1 single race hots up, as BTS star Jung Kook and Jack Harlow's 3D narrows the gap on Doja Cat's Paint the Town Red midweek.

Yesterday (October 1), Jung Kook (Jeon Jung-kook) sat at Number 3 behind Doja's current chart-topper and British breakout star Kenya Grace's Strangers at Number 2. Though, in today's update, he leapfrogs ahead of Kenya in what could potentially claim the BTS star his highest-charting solo single yet.
