October 2, 20232 yr Kylie only sold 2.8k this week so far. Imagine though if she had released her album this week she would have been thrashing Ed!!! Who would have thought and that would have made a terrific headline lol.
October 2, 20232 yr Oh I expected Beverley to be a safe top 10, is this unlikely now? I assume Lana will drop below her.
October 2, 20232 yr Ed should’ve released a few songs first as it would’ve helped him to have bigger sales
October 2, 20232 yr Wanna know who has lied to Mae Muller and told her she's #19 on midweeks - watching her on Instagram Live now and she's like "#19 is good, we could get a top 10!!" Poor hun :(
October 2, 20232 yr Hopefully people will now understand why record labels are in no rush to release debut albums from new artists that haven't had several hits to their name.
October 2, 20232 yr Wanna know who has lied to Mae Muller and told her she's #19 on midweeks - watching her on Instagram Live now and she's like "#19 is good, we could get a top 10!!" Poor hun :( Maybe she was told Sundays midweek position instead of Mondays? I would probably have expected her to drop that much in a day after the first day orders had been counted…
October 2, 20232 yr Maybe she has been informed of her mistake as she has taken down the Insta live now that she said that in after posting it to her main page previously
October 2, 20232 yr Wanna know who has lied to Mae Muller and told her she's #19 on midweeks - watching her on Instagram Live now and she's like "#19 is good, we could get a top 10!!" Poor hun :( Maybe that was yesterday’s position?
October 2, 20232 yr In the last 23 years, the vast majority of UK Eurovision acts didn't even go on to release an album off the back of it. Only Blue, Englebert Humperdinck, Bonnie Tyler and Sam Ryder did so. Blue got to #13. Engelbert got to #21 with a repackaged Greatest Hits. Bonnie got to #52. Sam topped the charts last year. I don't quite see why people thought Mae would have gone top 40, sadly. Eurovision doesn't guarantee any success whatsover.
October 2, 20232 yr Wow, those sales are worse than I though for Ed tbh He did a mammoth signing session at Banquet Records today so i'm guessing that'll add quite a few copies onto his total. Jung Kook's single's performance has quite surprised me, with the right collab he could be onto a #1 single! I'm very happy to see that Troye is shaping up for a very successful era, very much deserved as the singles have been top notch!
October 2, 20232 yr What on earth has happened to NSYNC? I feel depressed. They took a 20 year hiatus and are seemingly only back together for this one movie. It’s not like they’ve launched a full comeback
October 2, 20232 yr Ed is just changing his mode of operating to match the charts these days. The days of big album sales in both opening week and total sales are done, not just for Ed but everybody. What big named artists can do now though is release a lot of albums that are virtually a dead cert to be number 1. Adele in 5 years time will have 5 number 1 albums and dwindling sales, Ed will probably have 12 and the mass of albums just keeping his overall sales chugging along. Kylie is clocking up number 1 albums now easier than her heyday but the sales will obviously never match those older albums but no reason she can keep churning out albums and keep those number 1s coming.
October 2, 20232 yr The movie is not out until November. If you’re on about Trolls, it’s out on 20th October
October 2, 20232 yr I don't quite see why people thought Mae would have gone top 40, sadly. Eurovision doesn't guarantee any success whatsover. I thought because it takes barely anything to achieve that these days, and she might have enough people right now who'd want multiple formats.
