We have had Daniel appear a lot in these but not so much his sister Natasha and well... she doesn't do well at all here as her debut release, 'Single' is first for the axe, hoovering up 10 out of a total 38 votes. Peaking within top 3 but a very forgotten forgettable in comparison to the songs that followed after. Her follow up in fact topped the chart but this was a start to her career nonetheless and was released in America two years after in 2006!

10. Natasha Bedingfield - Single (10/38 Votes) [27.03%]

I quite like the Madonna track, I think it just made my end of year top 100 for 2008.

Anyway, I don't dislike anything left but going for The Pogues, has never been a favourite Christmas song of mine at all.

I mean the f word has been used since the 16th century to mean an old woman and probably wasn’t used widely until the 90s to describe a gay person so you have to see it in context, but no point having that debate again.

I’m resigned to Fairytale Of New York leaving soon despite being the best song here, but I’m ready to defend Mundian To Bach Ke when it’s inevitably targeted for not being run of the mill pop.

I for one second do not believe they didn’t know what that meant! Fag was a well used insult way before the 90s, I just tired of people excusing this song.

Anyway, as you say an other debate but I will call this song out for it nonetheless.

Agreed. It may have been more widely accepted in the 80s but its use in the song is clear as part of a line aimed at criticising the male character. It isn’t being used in any other context.
