October 13, 20233 yr As much as I can't stand this, I was hoping this would be top 10 to block Asking so that didn't also gain a top 10 peak, this one's already got that Well, I'm happy to see Asking top 10 tbh. :whip:

His masterful mixing in the booth and renowned DJ sets have lead to multiple sold-out tours in the UK and N.America, including 2 x headline nights at Brixton Academy, Mayfield Depot in Manchester, The Shrine in LA & Avant Gardner in NYC, whilst also holding down a summer residency at Amnesia in Ibiza. Sonny also tirelessly travels the globe playing sets at countless major festivals including Coachella, Glastonbury, EDC Vegas & Tomorrowland to name a few. His standout remixes and original material have achieved more than a dozen top tens in the Beatport charts, proving that he is very much shaping the landscape for fans and DJs alike. Unquestionably, Sonny is one of dance music’s fastest-growing acts, while remaining independent, releasing on his own imprint Solotoko. - Apple Music MK Marc Kinchen’s touch is subtle, but it has changed the course of dance music multiple times. Born in 1972, the Detroit native got his start crafting moody, groove-heavy deep house for Kevin Saunderson’s KMS label when he was just 17. By the early ’90s, Kinchen (better known as MK) was making his mark on underground dance floors with hits like “Always” and “Love Changes,” balancing strident drum programming with punchy keys and organ bass—a signature sound that quickly found him rising in stature as the industry’s go-to remixer, racking up credits for The B-52’s, Pet Shop Boys, Céline Dion, Moby, and dozens more across pop, dance, and R&B. In the 2000s, he shifted his focus to hip-hop and made beats for Will Smith and Pitbull, but as deep house came back into vogue, a new generation of fans gravitated to MK’s early work. It was his 2013 remix for Storm Queen’s “Look Right Through”—skeletal, funky, and easily mistaken for an actual product of ’90s vintage—that marked MK’s return to dance music, followed by still more remixes (Duke Dumont, Sam Smith, Clean Bandit, and even Nile Rodgers got the MK treatment) and jubilant throwback anthems like 2016’s “Piece of Me” and 2017’s “17.” In the new material, MK gave classic piano house a state-of-the-art update, yielding a sleek, punchy sound akin to future house. - Apple Music Top 100 Chart History Sonny Fodera 2019 51 One Night (MK & Sonny Fodera feat. October 13, 20233 yr Much as I'm not really fond of 'Asking', it's nice to see it penetrate the top 10 after going to such a good effort over the last few weeks!
October 13, 20233 yr ugh not this borefest in the top 10. i hope its a one off for this week. another dreary af dance song to add to the list of mediocre dance hits of 2023
October 13, 20233 yr Its great to see Clementine Douglas get a top 10 single but why did it have to be this bland-fest :(
October 13, 20233 yr Each act involved in this has done soooo much better that hasn't made an impact, so it's a bit galling in that regard!

October 13, 20233 yr Each act involved in this has done soooo much better that hasn't made an impact, so it's a bit galling in that regard! That's exactly it for me. I don't strongly hate Asking but with the artist line up it shouldn't sound sooooo boring.
October 13, 20233 yr i got very bored of disconnect quickly after its first release, but its starting to grow on me again now. its longevity is impressive
October 13, 20233 yr Isn't it time for Disconnect to bugger off to ACR now? Don't get me wrong it's still a bop but it's had it's time.

Born in 1993, London-based songwriter/producer Fred John Philip Gibson treats his electro and rave-inspired songs as diary entries. But the artist, who performs under the name Fred Again.., doesn’t limit the subject matter to himself. On albums like 2021’s Actual Life (April 14 - December 17 2020) and its sequel, Actual Life 2 (February 2 - October 15 2021), Fred invited his friends into the studio to record their personal stories and then sprinkled them throughout the album. (The obvious exception was an epic Kodak Black sample on “Kahan (Last Year)”.) The songwriter has also worked with stars such as Eminem and Ed Sheeran, but Fred’s longest collaboration is with his brothers, whom he shares his tracks with before they’re released. “It’s such a blessing to work with both of my brothers,” Fred explained in an interview with Apple Music. “I’ll spend hours and hours working on a tune, and they’ll hear it how I will, but without all the baggage. They bring a fresh ear.” - Apple Music Obongjayar Steven Umoh, known by his stage name Obongjayar, is a Nigerian musical artist based in London.
