Satellite is the one I’m most proud of getting because it’s not something I’ve particularly heard since the contest

'Satellite' is the first one I didn't get. Wasn't overly fond of it back then and it doesn't help that I haven't heard it for 10+ years!

9/20:

Number 15: Air - Kelly Watch The Stars

16/05/1998 Air Kelly Watch The Stars 18 {18}-39-47->3

This is the first of 2 songs here that I discovered in a Buzzjack listen-through this year, when Rollo reviewed their debut album "Moon Safari". Like Daft Punk's "Around The World" the only lyrics in the song are also the title, and also like that it's a fabulous hypnotic piece of music. I recommend this and the album to those who aren't familiar.

Yes, Moon Safari is a great album, used to listen to it a lot back in the day. This song and 'Sexy Boy' are the two highlights :wub:

The Air one sounded different to me in the clip than in that video lol (had a bluesy guitar bit) Not that I'd have got it anyway.

Don't know '1980' either but again not an Estelle fan so..

9/20:

Number 24: Lightning Seeds - Lucky You

21/10/1995 The Lightning Seeds Lucky You {1995} 15 20-{15}-19-32-42-61->6

This originally only reached #43 in 1994, but went Top 20 on re-release after the group started to have more consistent success. Obviously they are best remembered now for "Three Lions", but they have a fairly extensive 90s discography.

'Kelly Watch The Stars' was interesting to me because the melody reminded me of an Australian flop single, 'Gossip' by Vanessa Amorosi, and I remembered having the same thought with a song I once heard in a Heardle spin-off so I looked for what that was hoping it would be the same one, but it wasn't even close ('Oh Yeah!' by Green Day) :lol: I thought it might be something along the lines of Depeche Mode.

I think you mean number 24 for Lightning Seeds - 25 was Chris Isaak.

Yeah I'm not doing well at this, only 7 right so far. Although I did also get #13 which I'm shocked hasn't been revealed yet!

Rob's pointed out to me that the official video for "Kelly Watch The Stars" which I've linked doesn't include the clip, so this is better for listening purposes:

Lena-Satellite don't think I've ever heard it in my life
Only one left for me. I now realise that my answer for "least guessed" could have been one of the intros I didn't guess myself, but at the time I thought it had to be a named song.

8/20 correct:

Number 1: Juice Wrld - Robbery

02/03/2019 Juice WRLD Robbery 39 46-49-42-{39}-50-61->6

This was the lead single from his second album “Death Race For Love”, released 10 months before his untimely passing. It is Juice’s 3rd most streamed song on Spotify with a whopping 1.2 billion plays, despite its rather low peak.

Also with 8/20:

Number 13: Aled Jones - Walking In The Air

30/11/1985 Aled Jones Walking In The Air 5 64-45-37-14-{5}-5-8-18-30-45-72->11

I had to change the whole track after I put the Peter Auth version intro in by mistake, which of course is the version that appears in “The Snowman” film and which peaked at #42 and then at #37 on re-release. However the Aled Jones version was the much bigger chart hit. I did think this twinkly intro was more recognised that it apparently is.

Down to 7/20 correct answers now:

Number 14: Weezer - Hash Pipe

14/07/2001 Weezer Hash Pipe 21 {21}-38-55->3

This rather fabulous track was the lead single from the long standing (and still going) LA band’s 3rd album. It’s their 3rd highest peaking hit after “Buddy Holly” (#12 in 1995) and “Beverley Hills” (#9 in 2005).

How 'Walking In The Air' only got 8 correct guesses :no: I suppose it needs to be a Christmas staple to up the numbers :P

'Hash Pipe' was the one that was really frustrating me :lol: glad I got it in the end though!

Surprised more didn't get Satellite given how much this forum loves Eurovision! For me that was the first 'thank goodness I know one' sigh of relief. I've heard Walkijng in the Air a decent amount but don't think I realised it had such a spooky intro!

Also - at least I can breathe easy knowing which song the red herring was now!
