December 17, 20231 yr Everyone is sleeping on Sam Ryder it’s a great song and Alexa is pushing it a lot. I’ve had 100 quid on it over different betting companies I’m very confident ive predicted the last 6 Christmas number 1’s correct   100 quid down the drain!!
December 17, 20231 yr Well Sam Ryder is down to 6/1 now I don’t see it but seems that’s where all the money is
December 17, 20231 yr That'll be people who bet on it after seeing that it's currently supposedly only 40 copies away from #1 without understanding the context behind that number.
December 18, 20231 yr I cashed out on Sam and made a £9 profit  I expect the bookies will catch on tomorrow when he slips in the midweeks.
December 18, 20231 yr I'd suspect the top 2 were pretty far ahead of the rest in yesterday's mids and we know Sam will fall off so Wham will walk it.
December 18, 20231 yr 4/6 Wham! 4/1 Sam Ryder 6/1 The Pogues 16/1 Creator Universe 25/1 Ed Sheeran and Elton John 25/1 The Beatles 33/1 Cher 33/1 Mariah Carey 33/1 Noah Kahan Edited December 18, 20231 yr by Jαsє
December 19, 20231 yr Official Charts say they will make regular updates, but they have deliberately remained quiet yesterday, so that people aren’t aware that Wham! are pulling away from Sam. If anyone can motivate fans to buy their track, it would be Sam, but there is such a lack of willingness these days to download or buy physical singles that I would be very surprised, if he succeeds. Social media is probably not enough, he needs the media on side as well.
December 19, 20231 yr They say sign up for the OCC's 'breaking news updates'... but it’s only going to be the same information as usual. It’s just a con to get people to sign up to their newsletter. Edited December 19, 20231 yr by Chloe🎄
December 19, 20231 yr They've gotta do something to stop this from happening again. Even if this'll be their first Christmas number one, Wham have been number 1 four times in three years. Mariah not far behind. It's barely its own chart anymore - more a reflection of how Spotify arrange their Christmas playlists.
December 19, 20231 yr It’ll be the first time one of Mariah wham or pogues have been Christmas #1 right? Not exactly dominant. Lasbaby got 4 years in a row!
December 19, 20231 yr Yeah, the last Christmas song to get Christmas #1 was 2004, it's been long overdue imo!
December 19, 20231 yr I watched the MTV recap of all the Christmas #1s and most of them from the last 15 - 20 years have been complete dirge. Leon Jackson's X Factor abomination was atrociously bad.
December 19, 20231 yr Yeah, the last Christmas song to get Christmas #1 was 2004, it's been long overdue imo! Woulda happened FAR earlier if not for the Mariah sabotage... Wham will be xmas no.1 and December no.1 from now till tbe end of the charts. Enjoy!! And I hope everyone cashed out before now on non-Wham bets!!
December 19, 20231 yr Yeah Last Christmas will be getting 4 weeks at #1 every year from now probably, so only 4 years till it breaks I Believe's record.
December 19, 20231 yr 1/5 at paddy power now. Ladbrokes have stopped taking bets Yup. Pogues also drifting out to 9/1 - never thought I'd see that after Shane's death. Sam still 6/1, Creator Universe 20/1 and Noah 33/1. Edited December 19, 20231 yr by Jαsє
