Maybe someone can correct me (WITH DATA) if I'm wrong, but I feel like when it comes to a lot of these resets, they seem to always be in or around the top 50 (ie Ye, Wheatus, GNR, Radiohead etc). Maybe it's just that I pay more attention to that half of the chart but I can't think of any similar instances lower down. So maybe they just weren't high enough last week.

I'm sure I've seen Alan Jones refer to the "Combined Tracks" chart (where ACR and the 3-track rule don't exist) as a top 200, and while the OCC obviously count sales below that towards EOY and lifetime totals, my theory is that they only use the top 200 to determine whether something has had the 25% increase (perhaps using the sales of the #200 the previous week to work out the minimum increase a song could have had from that week). As a result, the only songs which pass the definite 25% threshold are those which land at around #100-125 or above on that chart, translating to the Top 50 officially when put on SCR and all other rules taken into account.

With the top 200 increasingly filling up with Christmas songs on permanent ACR, it becomes harder for other songs to even appear there, let alone make the proven 25% increase based on the top 200 alone. I'd otherwise have expected 'Merry Christmas' for example to have had at least a 25% increase last week and to have made the Top 100 on SCR once reset.

Sales other that TAke That seem to be low so it’s falling slowly because of that most likely although she’s doing very well.
Well that is true tbf - wonder if she has added much more sales overall, hopefully we will get a Wednesday update!

She added 371 sales monday (no56 biggest seller) to take total sales this week to 3421.

Tension back up to no152 - though was the 109th biggest sale on Monday so is steadily climbing.

Curious to see what sales Take That end the week on. I can't see them adding a lot more to their total for some reason.

Are you able to see how well Cher's Christmas is doing? Thanks!

Another Tina Turner greatest hits album? Jeez.

We Don't Need Another Greatest Hits (Thunderdome)

Jack Harlow continues to lead the way in the singles chart with Lovin On Me, which has accumulated 32,130 sales so far this week.

Following in second place is Noah Kahan’s Stick Season with 19,792 sales, whilst Cassö, Raye and D-Block Europe’s Prada (19,476 sales), Tate McRae’s Greedy (18,657 sales), and Wham!’s Last Christmas (18,219 sales) complete the Top 5.

In the albums chart, Take That’s This Life races ahead, with 111,413 sales accumulated so far this week. The record has 108,637 sales from its physical release, 1,878 from downloads and 898 from streams.

Meanwhile, Taylor Swift’s 1989 (Taylor’s Version) sits at No.2 with 9,104 sales, whilst the Rolling Stones’ Hackney Diamonds (6,104 sales), Michael Bublé’s Christmas (5,354 sales) and Olivia Rodrigo’s Guts (4,754 sales) round off the Top 5.

Ooh nice at 'Stick Season' overtaking 'Prada' now. Possibly another one in line to contend for #1 in the new year, although could just end up being one of those long running #2 peaking indie(ish) hits. Would surely be an easy #1 if they do release a duet version with Olivia ofc...

Take That definitely on track to beat their last album's opening sales, good increase for them since Monday. The Rolling Stones' album is really holding up remarkably well, still some remaining vestige of Q4 gift sales I guess!

Not much action in the albums, apart from what is given in the article with Tina Turner at #7, Kylie at #12, 1975 at #26 and Trashcan Sinatras at #32

Single wise nothing much new, apart from lots of Xmas tracks cluttering it

I have to agree with Bray regarding Noah Kahan he could be #1 in the new year once the xmas tracks get kicked out.

Take That slowing as expected but still on for 130k which is brilliant. Rolling Stones seem to be increasing again, must be an attractive Xmas present. Wonder if it could get the no1 Xmas album?

Nice to see ‘Stick Season’ at no2 hopefully a future no1, a nice seasonal song.

so around 120k for TT come Friday would be incredible
Joseph must Christmas shop

I don't think Joseph has the power to stop Christmas !

I'm at a gig, another mod will do the update if available, if not it'll have to be tomorrow when I get a chance
