Great that the usual low sales first No.1 of the year won’t be happening this year then!

 

Also, James Masterton in his chart commentary has alluded to a major new release coming on New Year’s Day. Anybody got any idea what that might be? Presumably it would have to be an extremely big name to stop Noah with a three day disadvantage.

So I think we finally know the answer to whether Stick Season was just holding up because it mentioned Christmas in the lyrics. It may not have been held back by Christmas as much as some other songs but its popularity was genuinely growing all that time.

I’m hoping I remember everything makes a new peak next week! And I’d love to see feather and the might we met make top 40! Really hoping lord Huron gets reset, I’ve been loving it, especially the Phoebe Bridgers remix of it!

Agreed it was - it’s sales could be quite healthy this week around 60k, I do think a major artist will release next week like Miley last year there’s always a good opening this time of year. Prob will be Ariana!

 

The Xmas songs doing well enough still, do people reackon they will be top 200 next Friday still?

New Years Eve playlists will kill off any remnants of Christmas in the streaming charts
And yesi it’s time to reset Lord Huron!!!
It’s a shame Popular won’t be reset because of some dumb rule when it’s actually genuinely increased this week
