The top 5 on the New Year’s Eve Party Bangers playlist I got on my homepage:

01. Miley Cyrus - Flowers

02. Rihanna feat. Calvin Harris - We Found Love

03. Kylie Minogue - Padam Padam

04. Dave feat. Central Cee - Sprinter

05. Jazzy - Giving Me

Is that the same for everyone? Not sure how much if an effect it will have but this is the first one I come across on my homepage…

The “New Year’s Eve 2023” Playlist actually has more saves on Spotify than that one which has this top 5:

1) Rihanna - We Found Love

2) Abba - Gimme! Gimme! Gimme!

3) Dua Lipa - Dance the Night

4) Jack Harlow - Lovin On Me

5) Rema & Selena Gomez - Calm Down

Either way, expect a big boost for We Found Love

They seem to be similar across the board.

In Australia we have We Found Love, Flowers and Padam Padam featuring heavily from what I can see.

It's quite strange that We Found Love is so high on both playlists. Does it mean that Rihanna will be releasing new music soon?

I remember a while ago I suddenly started hearing JLS songs everywhere, and then a couple of months after that they announced their comeback. And I realised that hearing their old songs a lot in a short time was obviously no coincidence and something their label had done. So maybe this is a sign Rihanna is coming back soon.

Is James from Chart Watch talking about Lewis Capaldi dropping the extended version of his album? I highly doubt he'll even come close to reaching #1. Noah Kahan has nothing to worry about.

I thought Ariana was meant to be putting out something first week of January and that was what James meant?

I’ve never noticed this doing the rounds at New Year? As much as I’d like it to.

Shame, even if it is a cover. It's such a NYE anthem!

Can't believe it's 22 years (to the week pretty much) since Murder on the Dancefloor first re-peaked at No.2 in January 2002.

In my mind it's the relatively recent past but - for example - it's six years longer than was between the No.1 spells of Bohemian Rhapsody in 1975 and 1991, and the same amount of time between The Beatles' final No.1 in 1969 and the likes of The KLF/The Simpsons/Color Me Badd in 1991. Time seems to move faster now...
