Thought this would be a good way to do something Christmassy in this part of the forum. So basically drop a link to a Christmas song from this century which covers 2000 up to 2019. It can be a popular hit or it could be an underrated one to an completely unknown. Originally No76 in December 2002. Re-released and peaked at No55 in December 2003. My introduction to the band was actually with “Am I Wry? No” but this solidified my love for the band.

 

Hidden gem this one, and what a talented bloke. Pop star and chess champion!

 

Big Brother winner was raising money for charity with this, but it missed the top ten.

 

80's shouldabeen christmas classic from 2019, it's a great song for christmas.

 

It's almost impossible to avoid this song on the forums, where I posted.

 

YVA - Laukiu Kaledu (2009)

 

 

All good things comes to end. "Laukiu Kaledu" (I'm Waiting For Christmas) was last hit for YVA before their split.

In this year my favourite YVA member Kristina Ivanova with her group Kristal tried to give a new life for this classic track.

Def my fav modern Xmas song - always remember Zane Lowe having it as a Hottest Record when it was released - but the sales split over 2 weeks so only peaked at 13 🤨

In my chart Cheeky Girls single was dethroned by Fast Food Rockers - I Love Christmas on Christmas week.

 

 

But in 2004 year my Christmas chart became iconic with Hot Pantz, Skandi Girls and "I Got You Babe" in top 3.

"Amarillo" sold over 1 million copies in 2005 year and on Christmas week we got a parody of this hit (# 30 in UK)
