The Krackpots are due to release "Proper Christmas" on Friday, which will be their 4th attempt at Christmas number 1.

With previous efforts charting under the names The Kunts and The Krown Jewelz, I was thinking that there can't be too many cases of the same band having chart hits with 3 different names. Prince is well-known for being called The Artist Formerly Known as Prince for a period, but I can't think of any other examples.

Norman Cook has charted under his own name, as Fatboy Slim and as part of the Housemartins, Freakpower and Beats International.
A lot of dance/electronic artists release music under a ton of different pseudonyms, I imagine there must be at least one case of one who's charted songs under 3 or more names (though admittedly I can't immediately name one!)
The Krackpots also previously charted as “Kunt and the Gang”

Actually have just thought of one - Miley Cyrus has charting songs as both Hannah Montana and Ashley O as well as plenty under her real name.

Kunt And The Gang despite the name is actually just Kunt (the singer), not the whole band.

And for a more stereotypically Buzzjack friendly answer, Mel B charted a single or two as 'Mel G' in the late 90s.

Yep, although The Kunts fit this bill anyway as they’ve charted as The Krown Jewelz and will likely do so next week as The Krackpots.

Edit: nevermind, I missed the OP!

The 3 name example that comes to mind is Puff Daddy / P Diddy / Diddy.

Other 2 name ones that randomly pop into my head:

The Drifters became The Shadows after the other Drifters threatened legal action, but not before there were a few hits credited to Cliff Richard And The Drifters.

The Supremes became Diana Ross And The Supremes and The Animals became Eric Burdon And The Animals.

Cheryl Cole / Cheryl or Liberty (X) if you want a Buzzjack friendly answer :P .

Snoop didn't have any charting singles as Snoop Lion but he did have a few as Snoop Doggy Dogg earlier in his career.

Found one who's had top 100 singles under 4 different names - Armin / Armin Van Buuren / Perpetuous Dreamer / Rising Star.

Liam Gallagher has had singles under his own name, Oasis and Beady Eye.

Noel Gallagher has had singles under his own name, Oasis and Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds

As well as his own name, Jonathan King has had top 75 hit singles under eight other names:

The Weathermen

Sakkarin

Shag

Bubblerock

53rd and 3rd featuring the Sound Of Shag

Sound 9418

One Hundred Ton and A Feather

Father Abraphart and the Smurps

There were a few in the 1960s/70s:

Shane Fenton/ Alvin Stardust

Paul Gadd/Paul Raven/Gary Glitter

Terry Dactyl & The Dinosaurs/ Jonah Lewie

I'm sure there's more

Avicii / Tim Berg

Above & Beyond / Oceanlab {debatable if this counts though as vocalist Justine Suissa is considered a member of Oceanlab but not A&B}

Klubbheads / Drunkenmonkey / Hi_Tack

Jam & Spoon / Tokyo Ghetto Pussy / Storm

Jakatta / Raven Maize / Joey Negro

Ferry Corsten / System F / Moonman {+ collaboration projects Gouryella (with Tiësto), Veracocha (with Vincent de Moor) and Starparty (with Robert Smit)}

Winx / Josh Wink / Wink

Doolally / Shanks & Bigfoot

Sub Sub / Doves

Can also add Pizzaman to the Norman Cook collection

Diplo has had top 10 hits both under that name and as a member of Jack Ü, Major Lazer and Silk City (and a top 20 hit as a member of LSD). Although as it's the streaming era he's also individually credited on most of those hits on streaming services.
