Echoing the above (previous page) the Sam Ryder song is by far the best Amazon Christmas song, hopefully it can manage a top 10 placement at some point (probably this week tbh)

I remember someone doing a Summer version of this at a karaoke party once.
It will be tough between Wham! and Sam especially with the latter being on SCR
She's been #1 twice since then.

She'll never get there again :(

That Sam Ryder song is really bad!! He shoulda done full on glam rock.

I'm thinking Cher will be something like #25 in tomorrow's update or even higher. :P

Based on last week we can expect Sam to fall away, and Jack to make good progress. Jack could climb all the way back to number 1.
17 Christmas songs in today's First Look compared to 14 in last year's equivalent update.

Nah I’d say wham have It locked in. I think he’ll make it back to #1 in the new year

Unexpected to see The Pogues ahead of Mariah when they didn't manage that in last week's First Look - the funeral having a bigger download effect than the initial death announcement? I expect they'll likely still end up falling back behind Mariah and Jack anyway but hopefully at least holding at #4 now!

'Step Into Christmas' being so high again is also a nice surprise, it'll fade pretty quickly though if it's just being boosted by a new vinyl release, hopefully can still overtake a couple of the other festive hits it was behind last week though.

Mad to think he's now been dead longer than he was alive.

Was thinking that, nearly dead half a century, such a talent 😢

50 years since this came out, an golden anniversary for Wizzard and Slade and Elton John.

Imagine having the Christmas chart on 50 years ago and hearing Wizzard Slade and Elton - staples every 12 months for the rest of your life!

Tge elton vinyl is limited plus expensive so it probably won't a huge difference come Friday.

It's crazy that it never went top 10 when originally released.

as fake as its position is, cant deny its a great song! cant wait to put it on my playlist next year when it goes to spotify! and nice for sam to get another hit, no matter how fake

I have an Alexa in our baby room and don’t listen to it except at Xmas to ask it to play Xmas songs and I have done it this week simply to hear Sam’s song as I can’t add it to my playlist as I have Apple. Plus the first three songs also include Wham and Mariah so cant be that fake!

It seemed to have been drowned out by Slade and Wizzard that year!

Nice to see it top 10 already and The Pogues ahead of Mariah (is this 2007 again). Fantastic that Sam is so high, hope he can remain top 5. As I said in the Xmas no1 thread the sales this week will be interesting to see if Alexa has a shot at Xmas no1 because the Christmas chart will be before the big streams of the Xmas weekend and after so Wham and Mariah may only do 50-55k that week.

Good to see Kylie grabbing some Tension album sales after her TV Show.

Hope she can go top 20 maybe nearer top 10 on Friday.

How do you know how many extra sales she's grabbed? It only finished airing an hour ago!

Does it always play the same songs?
