Welcome to the 25th and final week of these polls! :spin:

For any browsers of the chart forum who are wondering what they're reading, we have been running a listening marathon covering every #2 single in the history of the UK charts over the last 7 months which came to an end this week. Each week we have run a poll from a shortlist based on feedback in the session to establish the best and worst #2. The previous polls are all in the rewind forums.

After a very close fight The Weeknd & Daft Punk came from behind to win with "Starboy" picking up 14 votes to "Nothing Breaks Like A Heart"'s 13. "Lean On" took the bronze medal with 12 votes.

Went for "Don't Start Now", "Say So", "Save Your Tears" and "Space Man" for best.

Just "Girls Want Girls" for worst which I feel is on a different level of awful to everything else.

Cat Burns being snubbed from the worst list -_- 'Somebody Else's Baby' all over again x

Gone for The Weeknd, Roddy Ricch and Sam Ryder for best (Dua and Travis not far off, maybe Dua x2 in fact, still a bit early to properly comment on 'Houdini' as tonight was the first time I'd ever heard it lol but a good first impression x), Drake/Lil Baby for worst in the absence of Cat Burns. Lol at there being as many options for the worst list as the best list this week :kink:

I find it quite incredible that you're an avid follower of the chart and yet tonight was the first time you've ever heard 'Houdini' (and I'm sure this isn't the first time you've claimed to only have heard a big hit for the first time weeks after release!) Aren't you tempted to give big new releases curiosity listens when they come out? I'm not sure I could wait that long!

I know Bray always listens to every hit - he just sometimes ends up a bit behind.

I’m certainly no fan of “Go” but I guess I’m just thinking about the general consensus and I don’t think it’s that badly regarded. For example in the reshuffle chart it reached #2 at one point - I doubt anything that did make the worst list could claim that. x

Running my top 100 hits poll series is the only thing that's kept me even vaguely up to date with current hits for most of this year oops! (and I've been further behind than usual for the past couple of months because I got a bit behind with those polls but am almost caught up again now )

(I've mostly fallen out of the habit of listening to new music at all otherwise (aside from the various song contests on here ofc), but I'm gonna try and get back into it again in 2024 x)

Went for Travis, Dua (Don't Start Now), Roddy, The Weeknd & Beyoncé for best...

I usually only pick one worst track but I had to vote for both 'Doja' and 'Girls Want Girls'

Change of forums almost made me miss this!

Went with Say So, Save Your Tears, Space Man, Break My Soul and The Box for best, the latter I've only heard a handful of times and it sounded particularly good.

Doja is easily the worst, and I'll go for Girls Want Girls as well as they both stand out as having particularly nasty lyrics alongside just being a bit rubbish. I'll spare the rest as while I can't say I like any of them, none of them inspire strong feelings and most just simply aren't my type of thing.
