Omg this is too much to take in! :cheeseblock: Ariana and Mariah on a non-Christmas song is a dream! Particularly on a bop like this... I'm ready :cheeseblock:

Oh this version isn’t really doing it for me! I imagined a duet to work beautifully in theory, but I find Mariah’s vocal approach to be a bit like a bull in a china shop against the original and quite delicate sounding Ariana vocals. It feels discordant to me.

Ultimately I wish they’d worked together on a different song, from scratch.

Oh god you’re completely right with that bull in a china shop analogy! :drama:

Unfortunately I’m finding this quite messy as well :( agreed that Ari’s performance on this song is quite dialled down, so Mariah really going for it doesn’t really mesh well.

I do stan Ari repping one of Mariah’s best albums though:

I love it, Mariah is belting and giving the power a house song needs

I'm not feeling this either, this version really drags down the quality :(

It kinda feels like when Metro Boomin's 'Creepin' was remixed by Diddy last year. Similarly to 'yes, and?', I loved the original but I hated the remix.

This kind of sounds like a AI style mashup.

On paper you’d think Ariana x Mariah would really work but this just wasn’t the song for it. If they ever do something like this again hopefully it’ll be on a ballad which will draw out their strengths more and they’d be able to compliment one another a lot more.

I agree was expecting something better!
