The biggest faller in streams within the top-100 also belongs to the Christmas track, which will be revealed later. The first two 'Tension II' songs are also here, they represent the last two album tracks before the feature section.Â

Now it is also the highest album track. Meanwhile '10 out of 10' is one of the biggest fallers, and it was helped by the release of the remix in 2024!  But 'A Second to Midnight' fell even harder, making the way back to 'Magic' as the biggest 'DISCO' track. Still not the biggest faller - which is 'Santa Claus Is Coming to Town' that lost two thirds of its 2023 streams. I can only, once again with the Christmas songs, imagine that it is due to the hectic playlisting from year to year. Special mentions to 'I Believe in You' and 'Come into My World' that, as well as the already mentioned 'Vegas High', climbed in streams yet still fell in positions due to the new entries that we are going to observe in the top-20. Â

That said, for Kylie standards that's an excellent debut. Outside of 'Head' the older (non-Tenstion II) tracks lost 94m streams in 2024 compared to 2023. 'Head' alone gained 56m streams year-to-year, which compensated for the most of the downfall of the rest of the songs. 1B mark for '... Head' looks very achievable within 2-3 years! Hopefully it stays in steam. Taking into consideration the new album, Kylie obviously gained in streams in 2024, accumulating 673m streams in Spotify in 2024, compared to 611m in 2023. Hopefully the tour manages to stabilise the situation for the whole ground in 2025 and hopefully have some healthy boosts all across the discography? Happy for 'Tension' the song clinging to the top-10 for the second year, even if it deserves 5 times more streams (and beyond) than it got. The last shout-out is to 'Higher' which gained in streams in 2024, which allowed it to cross 100m as an individual track just by the new year of 2025. January 12Jan 12 Thank you! One factor I’d forgotten about was the Padam effect in 2023. It really improved the numbers across her catalogue over the summer before Tension was released. Perhaps why her older tracks have declined a bit year on year. Edited January 12Jan 12 by aeroco
January 12Jan 12 The disappointing thing with kylies streaming is it doesn't generally reflect her big hits or classic singles as her more current releases are taking up the top end of the chart bar the odd song. Dance Alone, Santa Baby, Higher and midnight ride been examples as none of these are songs that are signature kylie, none are the big faves from fans and if general public were asked to randomly name 5 kylie songs none of these would be mentioned.

January 12Jan 12 Thank you for posting, very interesting stats as always!  Huge year for Can't Get You Out of My Head, that song is a monster! So great for Padam Padam too. :wub: It's a pity the rest of her classic catalogue really pales in comparison to CGYOOMH. In Your Eyes managed 9.71% of Head's streams. So many of her huge hits haven't really got a good footing on streaming... for instance, Better the Devil You Know doing under 3m feels rather modest for what comes across as being one of her signature hits. Dancing has become rather forgotten about it. :cry: The Golden era in general really. Only three songs from it in her Top 100, whereas Disco has 14 from that era! I could maybe see Edge of Saturday Night being in her Top 10 of 2025, but we'll see next year. :thinking:
