Unless its a 53 week year, I don't see how That's So True will make it tbh.

Pretty certain it's only a 52 week year, going off 2019 into 2020 transitioning on the same dates. Sailor song is sure to enter next week

Yeah it looks like they quietly changed the rules at that point. The last week of the year used to be the last week with 4 or more sales days in the old year. Now it seems to be the last complete week. That also means the last chart containing Christmas song will always be the last chart of the year - perhaps that’s why they changed it.

Although I suspect there will be some carry over Christmas songs into the next week given Wham! (and Sam Ryder) managed to make the first chart of the year this year.

Assuming there's only 6 weeks left, That's So True would have to average 50k a week to make the year end, seems a bit of a stretch imo

Noah closing in on 2 million for the calendar year, I think he should manage it (just), an impressive achievement. Would that be a record for the streaming era? Even in the ‘sales’ era I can only think of the huge charity records managing that, Band Aid & Elton. Are there any others managed 2 million on the EOY chart?

Shape of You, Despacito, Someone You Loved and Blinding Lights are the only others I can think of

It’s currently doing about 55k per week and looking stable. If Christmas weren’t coming I’d absolutely back it to average >50k in the next 6 weeks. And I don’t think the Christmas song deluge pushes current hits’ streams down that much - songs like “Stick Season” and “Escapism” have been stable during December in previous years.

I hadn't quite clocked that it had done 55k last week, I stand corrected - it has a pretty decent chance.
Disappointed Kelahni might not make it as it feels huge!

“Sailor Song” and “Move” replacing “Kehlani” and “Popular”

'Popular' once again falling short where 'American Life' succeeded for Madonna - it dropped off quickly once it went back to ACR and its chart run last year was almost twice as long.

'KEHLANI' could be back in and out again before year end perhaps.

“Popular” and “Hell N Back” will both be in the unlucky position of coming pretty close 2 years in a row.

How is DNA holding up? Thanks

It’s <4k per week now though it’s done enough. I have it on 451k at #72.

I wonder if we’ll get a statement from the OCC as and when Mr Brightside passes 6m.

It's now official.

Killers - Mr Brightside - Vertigo - Platinum 10x - Single - 22.11.2024 - 09.12.2005

Nothing from the OCC since 9th May this year (5.57m).

Have you revised Million Dollar Baby's sales down slightly this week, you've only given it 4k when I think it probably did 7k

Oh yeah I don’t usually bother editing previous weeks’ posts, but I noticed it has been dropping down the independent songs chart quite a bit.

So do we reckon cruel summer will be the last one to do a million sales this year ,

Stargazing will manage it too
