^ Looks like we’ll be getting 11, which is the most since 2019, but that year had a whopping 16.

Interesting, I'd have guessed there would be 12 but do you not think Stargazing will make it? It only needs about 20k/week and is still well above that. It does look like Texas Hold 'Em will just miss out though.

Great to see Murder on the Dancefloor looking safe for top 20! Stick Season might be my favourite year-end #1 ever so not complaining about it holding on at the top :D

I'm glad Murder on the Dancefloor did so well this year, but at one point it looked certain for year-end top 10. Of course I couldn't forsee at the time that it would be taken off TikTok (it fell quick-ish after that and didn't really recover), and we had those couple of months of insanely high streams on Spotify which allowed a lot of new releases to get higher on the year-end chart this year, had those things not happened it was looking to be top 10 imo.

Why did it get deleted?

Why did it get deleted?

I'm assuming it's a UMG song, UMG and tiktok had a conflict that saw UMG pull all music off til it got resolved

I've done some calculations and I think there's 8 (or more realistically 9) songs not currently in the YTD top 100 that will almost certainly make the year-end, these are:

BACKBONE (probably in this week)

Last Christmas

All I Want for Christmas is You

Die with a Smile

Sailor Song

Somedays

Guess

I Love You, I'm Sorry

(+ Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree)

I'd also give KEHLANI, WILDFLOWER and Fairytale of New York decent outside chances. Barring for some weird surprise or something that I've missed, the only other song I could see possibly showing up is Someone Like You.

I'd estimate the cut off this year is likely to be around 450,000 as opposed to ~400,000 like the last few years

I have 360 on around 345k do we think that has an outside shot too?

I've got it on 330k - I would say little to no chance tbh, the remix boost has basically gone already. I think it'll end the year on around 410k

I was thinking “Backbone” this week, “Guess” next week and “Die With A Smile” and “Wildflower” the week after maybe. I see the latter as pretty much nailed on to make it now.

“Rocking Around The Christmas Tree” seems to get more popular every year with Americanisation so I’d be very surprised if that missed.

I’ll be surprised if one if red wine me or pink pony don’t make it

No way is pink pony making it, it's done 260k total and I'd assume about 200k are from this year max. Its now down to 18k a week which isn't enough for the end of the year

I'm not convinced Red Wine Supernova will make it either tbh. It's pretty difficult to guess an actual figure for it's YTD sales but I'd guess around 300k, which would mean it would need to average 15k a week to make it, which is not going to happen.

If the bar for #100 goes up by around 8k per week for the rest of the year it will finish at 435-440k.

Wonder when there was last a YTD top 10 made up entirely of songs which first peaked that same year!
Surprised to see Guess in this week and Brown Eyed Girl out. Lots of songs holding up better than I imagined. Where abouts is Praise Jah In The Moonlight please?

Yeah “Guess” must have done a bit more than I thought before the remix was released - 30k or so.

“Praise Jah In The Moonlight” is #56, just below that clump of current hits. Doing 3k per week if that now, but it’s done enough to secure its year end spot.

“Brown Eyes Girl” could be back although it’s dropped off a little bit so might hover on the edge in the coming weeks.

It's the freshest top 10 since 2019.
