Would've thought KEHLANI would enter by now even with the huge drop in streams. How is Exes holding up please?

“Kehlani” must be very close - wonder if it will sneak in next week as there aren’t any other obvious candidates for entering.

“Exes” has been holding up much better since “It’s OK I’m OK” came out though it did drop 85-88 this week. I have it on 400k doing about 6k per week, so it could still hold on.

Also do you have a YTD estimate for FE!N? It's one I seriously think could show up as its been a consistent streamer all year

I don’t sorry. I suspect Maestro will have a Spotify YTD position for it.

One thing to bear in mind is that kind of song always has poor premium / free ratios and ends up with slightly lower chart sales than you think.

What are the chances of Gaga and Bruno ending up in the top 40?

Ah OK thanks. Just done some maths myself and based on the hip hop charts it's probably around 300,000 so well away from entering anyway :D

Not out of the question but assuming it drops off a bit between now and Week 52 it probably won’t.

By the way I THINK it’s a 52 week year - if the chart revealed on 3 January counted to this year Gaga & Bruno would have a much better chance.

Regarding FE!N, it is #68 on the Spotify YTD, but as Julian said, its not uncommon for these kind of songs to do well on Spotify but have terrible ratios so get nowhere near the OCC list (for example The Color Violet was #48 on Spotify last year).

I'd guess KEHLANI is currently on ~380k and has recovered slightly on Spotify this week, so it could possibly jump Never Lose Me or Popular next week (not sure which one is actually lower now.

I also have 360 on around ~375k and Move on ~365k.

Someone Like You also must be above 350k for the year now, but I don't have a particularly accurate estimate for that currently.

I’m sure Maestro and gasman will notice that I’ve had to do some retrospective downward adjustments on “Yes, And?” which was stuck at #30 for so long despite having long left all charts that it was impossible to know how much it was really doing. Not a lot it turns out - looks like it will barely reach platinum by the end of the year and be thrown out of this Top 40.

Fantastic news

It’s still wild to see Sophie Ellis-Bextor up there
Obviously it’s difficult to predict its numbers compared to last year in December due to Shane’s death, but based on its strong start and improved playlist positioning on Spotify, I think the Pogues should sneak in again this year.

I've been following Taste's climb, so I was also curious about that

2 or 3 more weeks until 'Mr. Brightside' becomes the second song to be certified 10x Platinum in the UK.

Where is Summer of '69 please?

#78 down from 75 - this isn’t its best time of year obviously. Interestingly “Evergreen” overtook it again: those two have flip flopped several times during the year. I don’t know if “Evergreen” had a 17th wind on Spotify.

What's noticeable is that, usually, I can go through and work out the Best British Single nominees from the YTD Singles chart, but if I'm not mistaken, there isn't even 10 British led songs from this year in the top 100, is there? And last year, they upped it to 15 noms

(Just seen this was discussed on like Page 16, oops!)
