March 20, 20241 yr Author Entered the YTD Top 100 this week: Never be alone Take on me  Left this week: Wonderwall :o Pink + white
March 20, 20241 yr Wouldn’t have expected Never Be Alone to show up. Expect it won’t last long. Wonderwall has been doing very poorly on Spotify this year compared to previous ones so not a surprise to see it drop out.
March 21, 20241 yr Seems like that's the year end #1 sewn up already unless we get another Bad Habits level hit. Stick Season is on track to do similar numbers to Flowers last year if it drops off at a similar rate. Chuffed for Noah, but it's sad how this is usually decided by the end of Q1 these days!

Stick Season is on track to do similar numbers to Flowers last year if it drops off at a similar rate. Chuffed for Noah, but it's sad how this is usually decided by the end of Q1 these days! Yes 2021 was a real exception to the rule regarding being quite exciting for the YE #1, as we had Drivers License with a huge early lead but being surpassed firstly by Olivia herself and then by a June release. I think Stick Season is going to wind up as a bigger hit than Flowers overall given that it had done more than 500k before the year even started. I think it could also eventually surpass As It Was become the biggest hit since Bad Habits.

It already has 12 consecutive weeks with sales over 50k, I think only Blinding Lights and Bad Habits have done so this decade. An early sign of good longevity although the real test is how well it continues to stream over the next several years...
March 21, 20241 yr I forgot what year it was but the year when it was God's Plan vs. One Kiss was good for a year-end #1 battle. God's Plan had the early lead and looked like the year-end #1, but then One Kiss came out in like April iirc and gradually caught up and it was SUPER close at the end of the year. But if it's not Stick Season for this year then it's going to have to be an absolute mega-smash to beat it.

March 26, 20241 yr Author Entering the YTD Top 100 this week: We can’t be friends Linger :magic: Wonderwall Leaving this week: Shivers I’m still standing We found love
March 26, 20241 yr I also wonder if Linger by the Cranberries might make an appearance at some point in the near future. Called it on Linger. Do you have a sales estimate for Home by Good Neighbours? Pretty surprised that’s not in yet.
March 26, 20241 yr Author Called it on Linger. Do you have a sales estimate for Home by Good Neighbours? Pretty surprised that’s not in yet. I make it 94k from the week it entered at #81 and the bar was 97k this week, so definitely close.
March 26, 20241 yr I make it 94k from the week it entered at #81 and the bar was 97k this week, so definitely close. Ah right, Thank you
March 26, 20241 yr It was bound to happen sooner or later but Teddy Swims overtaking Sophie E-B is so not it! :(
March 26, 20241 yr Author Unfortunately MOTD is now behind songs like Prada, Greedy and Cruel Summer in the weekly chart, meaning it could eventually fall below them here.
March 26, 20241 yr 2001: #60 2002: #87 So it should comfortably beat both of those. Would be shocked if it finishes below #20
March 26, 20241 yr Oh yeah no worries whatsoever about it reaching a new year end peak by some margin then.
March 27, 20241 yr Ugh had to be Teddy Swims overtaking Sophie  Ooh nice to see 'Linger' sneaking in. Don't like the ancient songs clogging up but that's a nice addition to those at least!
