Breakdown of the week

- Saturday: Some information may be posted on social media but it is likely to be missing most streaming data and is unrepresentative.

- Sunday: Official First Look Chart on Radio 1 from 6-7pm. Please do not post spoilers on the forum in advance as this ruins the countdown for any listeners.

- Monday: OCC Top 100 from 5:45pm

- Tuesday: Top 40 update as and when we receive them with requests, this is NOT 100% guaranteed however. The OCC may publish sales flashes of their own accord but likewise, this is not guaranteed. Twitter and social media is your friend for today. Please post any information you find with a source. Do not nag for updates, we will post a top 40 update if we receive one.

- Wednesday: Top 40 update from Music Week from 5:45, and potential top 5 sales but this is not guaranteed.

- Thursday: See Tuesday.

Other notes (please read)

- You may make requests Tuesday to Thursday but outside the top 40, specific positions will not be revealed (unless deemed necessary by a mod).

- Please do not demand a midweek update, one will be posted as and when we receive the information. Patience is a virtue.

- Sales information will be given out as deemed necessary by a moderator, please bear this in mind when making requests. Most requests for sales will be ignored. Any chart requests between No. 41 to 100 will not be answered after Monday's update.

- To keep everyone in the loop of all chart action, please refer to the iTunes and Spotify threads.

Would quite like to see 21 Savage get a solo #1 album, think it'll be between him and The Vaccines.
I want Vaccines to get #1 album and Ariana to get #1 single. She should’ve released the CDs on Friday to have more of a chance at #1 seeing as people are waking up to Noah, despite sleeping on his song last year. I hope Ariana can snatch at least a week at #1

Edited by Hadji

21 savage streaming strong in US but not so well in his home country and his fans not the type to buy it so I doubt he’ll get #1
The US is his home country, he was only born here but left when he was a kid (which famously no one even knew about until a couple of years ago). Not expecting earth shattering sales from him but I think he could definitely be doing well enough on streaming to get #1 if The Vaccines underperform (though I expect they are probably the favourites).
I think DBE will be leading early on in the week due to signings, signed cds etc. But hopefully 21 Savage (or even The Vaccines preferably) can get there before they do.
^yeah brwak my soul didn’t peak till reneissance dropped! If ari drops soon which I think she could in the next few weeks maybe she’ll sneak it then, plus Noah May start to lose steam by then 🤷‍♂️

MODF for me is absolutely one of the best pop/dance/disco low burn songs of the last 20+ years. Adored it then and every bit now. Similar to Levitating by Dua. Flawless, very unique and multilayered. All those dance hits/smashes by Britney, Gaga etc...are just simply tired, dated or whatever from being played so much. This is a 'Sprinter' like situation. Basically ANY other regular week Sophie would effortlessly get a multi week #1 peak!!

Reeally hoping her team is about to go full Kate Bush or Kylie etc...and pull out ALL the stops to squeak in at least that ONE week at #1??

Ariana's song is terrible! lol. Tried 2x and it's just unlistenable. Leave it at that. ESP after a 3 year wait & basically at her peak. And...this is what her team decided to pump out? Sorry not sorry.

Only way I see her getting # is with a remix release

Sophie has physical singles but so expensive

the 7" vinyl is 16.80 pounds!! the CD single is 3.15 pounds, so that's better

limited but haven't sold out, mening not selling very well... ships mid Feb so kinda useless too...

If she released a new version maybe just with a small innocuous feature or something that would probably do it.

This reminds me of a certain week in 2011 when a hyped female megastar comes back with a Madonna rip off sounding song and was almost guaranteed to be no.1 but insteads ends up not even number 2 but 3!

I don't think many people thought Ariana was 'almost guaranteed' to be #1 tbf. Or at least if they did they could have done with investigating a bit further :teresa:
