January 14, 20242 yr Sophie has physical singles but so expensive the 7" vinyl is 16.80 pounds!! the CD single is 3.15 pounds, so that's better limited but haven't sold out, mening not selling very well... ships mid Feb so kinda useless too... I think a lot of the success of the resurgence is from new fans streaming the song from Saltburn rather than die hard Sophie fans who'll purchase all 99 physical variations of her singles at £20 each. I don't think she has that large of a longevity fanbase whose purchase of the physical product will impact the chart position.
January 14, 20242 yr This reminds me of a certain week in 2011 when a hyped female megastar comes back with a Madonna rip off sounding song and was almost guaranteed to be no.1 but insteads ends up not even number 2 but 3! GaGa would have been no.1 if she'd released a good song!! She had Edge or ScheiBe, and eithrr would have been no.1.

January 14, 20242 yr I believe we are starting to see some excitement back in the charts since the start of the streaming era. I’m loving the revival of older classics as well as deep cuts that are now being given their moment. Sometimes Tik Tok isn’t that bad at all when it comes to giving these viral moments.
