A new greatest hits will come someday including padam padam but its a while away. They could add it to the digital version of SBIT though for now.

The only purpose for adding Padam and a couple of other tracks post 2019 to SBIT is for chart purposes/ increased chance of a better chart position…it won’t increase any revenue from streaming.

 

Can’t see an updated version with new vinyl/ CD being released for quite a while. Makes more financial sense to focus on multi formats for new albums and reissues of the catalogue on vinyl.

Assuming this is true, I'm sure her label would've told the committee (wink wink) to award her something. I don't keep up with the Brit Awards these days - do they still do Best Intl Female and Male, or just one single category? Either way, they'd better give her something.

Why though? I thought every time she's been asked about touring during the Tension and PP promo interviews, her face lights up? Plus, she's well aware she can make more money by larger UK tours than a small venue in Vegas.

They could give her the lifetime achievement award (or whatever the equivalent is these days), I don't think she's won that before, has she? It's been won by the likes of the Pet Shop Boys, Pink and Robbie Williams before, so she's overdue it if anything.

they've merged the categories into intl artist. last year, all the nominees for best british artist were male, causing controversy. thus, starting this year, they will have 10 nominees for best british artist. I assume the same goes for intl as well.

Is International Song based on sales? I know British Song is. Wonderful to see her nominated for International Artist - her first since 2011!

I’m glad about International Artist! Sadly I expected Padam Padam to be a no show in International Song.

 

It does appear to be based on 2023 sales. What I dislike about that is that songs carrying over from 2022 can make it in, because of having a full 52 weeks of sales accumulated. Looking at Meghan Trainor and Oliver Tree in particular. <_< This scenario wouldn’t have occurred pre-streaming.

So great to see her nominated for a "current" category at this point in her career! Shame 'Padam' missed out on a nomination :(
