Overall loved the perf and the montage as well that highlighted everything - the #1 album record, Glastonbury, the tenure of her career, etc.

 

She could've at least given a nod to the British love/support (how they literally adopted her early on in her career) in her acceptance speech. I understand it was very adhoc and spontaneous and not as rehearsed (and boring) as her 2011 ARIA Hall of Fame awards, but still, a nod of gratitude would've been nice (vs the cliched "brits 2024" blah blah)

 

The perf was amazing, stellar. But rather shocked there was practically nothing from the PWL era and a blink-and-miss Confide instrumental info. Sounds like she's been so busy and exhausted from the residency she just rehashed the same set of songs.

I personally think she picked 4 of the songs people will remember the most huns and Inthink picking 4 main songs was a good idea because it gave each moment a chance to shine.

 

I don't think it was rehashed. I think it was really good and actually was fresh.

 

Ofc she is going to do some of her biggest songs and I think she probably picked the 4 songs that could mesh well together.

She did acknowledge her 36 years in the industry in her speech but didn't pay homeage as much in the song selection.

As much as I love, Love at First Sight, I would have replaced it with either I Should So Lucky, The Loco Motion or Better The Devil You Know.

which primarily is the UK and Australia. And the UK is her biggest market by far - back then and today. So a little "Thanks for all the support this country has given me" etc. etc. wouldn't have hurt. An extra 10-15 seconds

I think it's very very well known how much kylie acknowledges and appreciates how good the UK has been to her.

I thought the acceptance speech was great and genuine! I think it's clear how thankful she was.

The fact I watched this entire show including this moment and it didn't register with me whatsoever that Dance Alone played lol. Maybe Jonathan Bailey was too distracting for my brain to compute what was being played... :w00t:

Sadly I think a lot of people had switched off before kylie as except from Raye it was pretty dire.

 

She isn't going to pick up sales that she should have done, but I think they really just want to now work to the re-release and beyond of Tension.

 

Dance alone push should now hopefully happen too

 

It's still early days but I don't even see Tension in itunes top 100 at those cheap prices lol.

 

Greatest hits cd has sneaked into top 100 at Amazon but then again so is Chers Xmas album lol.

 

She should however sell lots of BST tickets and tour tickets when she announces.

I didn't get Kylie and Raye Hands performance but I did get video footage and pics of them :cheer:

i seriously need Raye and Kylie duet. Raye bopping to Kylie loved it.

 

Just shows a small interview where Kylie was supportive of Raye on her album launch last year and it stuck in Raye's mind as she mentioned it on the red carpet. Now a lovely friendship.

So The Unknown are a separate act? Don’t know anything about them, pardon the pun.

The unknown were these characters at the Glasgow WILLY WANKA experience hun and the whole experience went viral and the unknown were just characters in that willy wonka experience.

 

They went viral because the experience was weird, so I am assuming because the image of the unknown went viral, Kylie and her team used the character, the unknown were not actually people or an act in itself but it was just a crazy moment that was trending the past week, very clever to jump on another viral moment and use them. Does this mean Kylies team are learning huns?

I’m pretty sure ‘The Unknown’ likeness of the backing dancers was unintentional.

 

Would be a very weird coincidence as the likeness is uncanny, either way it is grabbing attention from twitter and memes are being created about it huns so I am here for it.
