January 31, 20241 yr The gap between #1 and #2 was predicted to be pretty huge so not sure she'll be able to close it, probably safe for #2 now though!
January 31, 20241 yr Chopped N Screwed Mix and Instrumental out now, she's really pushing for #1 in US. I hope it happens to give Nicki a full on meltdown. It also remained at #1 on spotify and gained very slightly! I was expecting it to drop a bit. Hopefully the new versions will help push sales and give a little streaming boost. "HISS" is now #2, #3, #4, #5 & #6 on US iTunes! *_* Edited January 31, 20241 yr by Envoirment
February 1, 20241 yr They released the behind the scenes to the music video to youtube. Hopefully that will help give it a last minute boost in the US! Although they should've maybe done that a day or so ago. Also Taylor mentioned Megan in a speech and now the swifites are helping Megan by purchasing the song *_* Latest predictions have Megan just 9 points behind Jack. February 2, 20241 yr HISS being Meg's 6th top 40, and her first solo song to debut in the top 40! Edited February 2, 20241 yr by DanielSwift
February 4, 20241 yr Talk of the Charts' final Hot 100 predictions actually has this quite comfortably #1 with 90k downloads, that's like twice as much as Ariana did iirc, crazy *_* (and notably is blocking Tom MacDonald & Ben Shapiro from the Digital Songs #1 as they're only projected for a 'mere' 76k). Something tells me there's not going to be as much complaining about the extra versions getting her to #1 as there was for Ariana the other week but hey ho - to be clear I don't think there's anything wrong with either of them doing it.
February 4, 20241 yr I really hope the 90k sales prediction is correct! *_* I wonder if she'll be able to stay at #1 in its second week? Its streaming is at a higher point than when it started last week and even though the sales will fall quite a bit, it still seems to be doing quite well. I'm hoping it'll gain a decent chunk of airplay from Urban & Rhythmic radio as that's the main thing holding it back.
February 5, 20241 yr Well there is already an early prediction for next week and it's back to having Jack way ahead at #1 and Megan down to #4 (although only 8 points separating 2-4) so she'll definitely need to rally again to get a second week at least for now - I think it'll probably only be the one week bolstered by huge sales unless radio do pick it up in a major way, it's just too hard to consistently compete with Jack's airplay advantage for now.
February 6, 20241 yr Megan Thee Stallion’s “Hiss” lunges onto the Billboard Hot 100 songs chart at No. 1. The rapper notches her third leader with the debut of the diss track, following two in 2020: “Savage,” with Beyoncé, for a week that May, and Cardi B’s “WAP,” on which Megan Thee Stallion is featured, for four weeks beginning that August. Plus, singer-songwriter Benson Boone scores his first Hot 100 top 10, as “Beautiful Things” bounds from No. 15 to No. 8 in its second week on the survey. The Hot 100 blends all-genre U.S. streaming (official audio and official video), radio airplay and sales data, the lattermost metric reflecting purchases of physical singles and digital tracks from full-service digital music retailers; digital singles sales from direct-to-consumer (D2C) sites are excluded from chart calculations. All charts (dated Feb. 10, 2024) will update on Billboard.com tomorrow, Feb. 6. For all chart news, you can follow billboard and billboardcharts on both X, formerly known as Twitter, and Instagram. “Hiss” was released on Hot Girl Productions. (Megan Thee Stallion signed an agreement with Warner Music Group, with Roc Nation continuing to be involved in managing her, as announced Feb. 2.) The song starts as the 1,163rd No. 1 in the Hot 100’s 65-year archives, and the 75th to debut at the summit. “Hiss” launches with 29.2 million first-week streams, 2.9 million radio airplay audience impressions and 104,000 downloads sold Jan. 26-Feb. 1, according to Luminate. In addition to the original version’s clean and explicit options released Jan. 26, an instrumental version and clean and explicit “chopped ‘n screwed” mixes arrived Jan. 31.
